Got my set in today. It was totally worth the double dip to get individual cases, original art and spine font. I do wish they had slips but I guess you can't have everything. This *should* be the last time I have to buy BttF...

I just went and ordered from Amazon because I couldn’t care less if the outer box is damaged. It’s going straight in the trash anyway. Original poster art FTW.

Ah, busted cases instead. Wise choice.

All they needed to do was include the 2.0 mix (35mm) from the LD and the 5.1 mix (70mm) from the Blu-ray, but noooooooooooooo. Gotta have dat DTS-XXX!

Got mine. Obviously, same discs as before, though I enjoy the original poster art for the case covers. That said, it makes it all the more baffling when Universal doesn't use it for their releases.

How is the outer box? Flimsy or somewhat rigid?

Went for the original art Steelbooks from Zavvi last year after selling off the Delorean steels. Did keep the Bonus Disc, and the Slipbox to house them in though. Would have definitely picked up this new set otherwise.

It's the same type of cardboard outer box that the Dark Knight Trilogy, which also held three standard cases for the individual movies, came with. Not an Arrow- or Warner Bros. UK-style hardcase.

In all honesty, I thought these were the only changes for some time since it's such a short video, so when you told me about Part III's changes and even a few the Atmos actually undid, it took me by surprise.

The issue with Reel 2 wasn't even known to people around here until a year after release when I discovered it.** (And it still took some convincing) It's easy to assume it's DNR without directly comparing screenshots of the 4K to the remastered BD. But as for why none of it's mentioned in reviews? Just garden variety incompetence, I guess.

**Survey says... I'm wrong about that

The 4K releases of these are ok for the most part, but could look so much better if the effort was made.

It wasn't? Huh. Some guy mentioned it here: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...5#post18208145 the day it came out, and just above that one there's a comment from someone else dismissing concerns about DNR on daylight shots becuz 'why would they do something as silly as that?'. That aged well.
