People need to learn some patience. Especially when they got it for 75% cheaper than most did.
Oh please, your whole argument is that people that paid less should wait longer and they need patience. It's been released now for weeks and yet they still haven't sent out orders of people that pre-ordered, that's crap.

By the way,

Universal screwed up big time on the German release of the UHD. Universal had the German dub remixed in Atmos exclusively for the UHD, and while the overall sound quality was improved, they managed to leave out several instances of dialogue in all three films.

Especially Part 2 had problems, as it has some dialogue coming not from the center, but from the front stereo channels. So those were usually the ones that got left out of the Atmos mix. But not exclusively.

However, Universal DE has already announced an exchange program.

Thank you guys!
US version is Canadian, UK is Parisian.

I received a second shipping notification today with a different tracking number from Gruv. Looks like they sent me two copies for $10.69.

Btw, I know this doesn't have to do with the 4K Blu-rays, but it does have to do with Back to the Future! I pre-ordered one of these bad boys and I just had to tell you all about it because each and every one of you are BTTF fans!

https://www.backtothefuture.store/Ba...p/dcbttf02.htm

Basically, it's the best fan kit ever for anything ever made. A bunch of small prop replicas from the BTTF movies, such as the disappearing photo from Marty's wallet from BTTF 1 (Marty and his siblings actually disappear when you move the photo) to Marty's written letter to Doc warning him about the terrorists. The whole thing (with tax) will cost ya $113 but as a BTTF fan this is something I *had* to get. Only 6000 of them will be made so be sure to pre-order yours before they're all gone!

Many people have experienced issues but by all accounts its not a faulty disc issue so there won't be a replacement scheme.

"I apologize for the delay with your order. We received more orders for this item than anticipated and did not receive inventory to cover all of the Pre-Orders. We are expecting additional inventory to arrive any day to fulfill your order. Your order will ship as soon as we receive additional inventory and tracking will be updated once this has shipped.

Thank you for contacting GRUV!"
Why is it so hard for you to understand that they got more orders than stock, and more are on the way?

Have you tried leaving it disconnected from the internet? That solved it for me. Just go through the wired set up with no ethernet plugged in, save and exit.

They don’t have enough but they sure do have enough to keep stores stocked. It’s seems like both the Walmart’s in my town and target get shipments almost every othe day. They are well stocked. But Universal can’t keep a company that they own stocked with their own product.

After having a very nice viewing experience watching BTTF from my 25th Anniversary Trilogy 2 nights ago I watched Part 2 last night and it was nice! Its been awhile so I wanted a reminder what was said about this old Blu-ray set and there was plenty to read given there are over 50 user reviews. << Talk about a bunch of serious polar opposite reviews!

These films never looked pristine theatrically, and this 4K release had to make owners of such equipment happy. First questions: Was BTTF really an honest to goodness candidate for a 4K release? The answer is absolutely not, so lets give these 4K people something they (not can but will) enjoy on their 4K systems. So yes, this 4K release is a doctored up BTTF designed to make 4K people happy. Is it true to the source, no but that was not the goal.

So if I can score just the 4K discs by themselves for a decent price I will gladly add these 4K discs to my collection, I don't mind watching doctored up films any less than I enjoying driving my old doctored up 1966 Mustang. I will be hanging onto my 25th Anniversary Trilogy. I never used the Digital Copies so I will throw those 3 discs away and use those spots for the 4K discs, that is if I am ever able to score just the 3 4K discs by themselves for a decent price.

I saw all 3 of the BTTF films on release in cinemas and the quality was never good from day one; these were not grandiose releases and have only subsequently achieved greatness.
I have nearly one hundred UHD discs and many hundreds more blu-rays and only 2 have frozen on me:

The Princess Bride UHD - A known issue with the discs (it fixed itself, no idea how.)
Apocalypse Now - A known issue with branching in Dolby Vision and Atmos.

All other discs play fine on my OPPO 205. Maybe I'm just lucky (cursed now for tempting fate.)

They also have contracts with those retailers that they must keep. We don’t know how many discs they had order for pressing and how many were able to be pressed by the disc manufacturing plant and sent to Universal at this time. So, they may not have the initial quantity the retailers were supposed to get. The lockdown and pandemic have caused them to not get their initial order in full.

Also, while your Walmart may have over 10 copies available, all stores near me only have 1-5 copies available. Neither Walmart and Target the set for $10. So they probably sold just a few hundred copies versus Gruv selling between 3,000 to 5,000 copies.

If Walmart or Target has the set for $10, they would be running into this situation as well. That is if they would honor the price mistake.

Even less than ET, or least more competently done. It's clear if you focus on the grain but I never really felt it had a noticeable impact on the actual image, no waxy faces, artifacted edges, smudged details or textures or anything like that. ET on the other hand the image itself has an unnatural noise-reduced look, particularly visible on fine details like strands of hair.

It was warping of the disc due to the holding tray.
