The downgrade in quality is ridiculous!
Their point is to advertise a new release, nothing more. Yes, we'd like some kind of sneak preview, but it would be unlikely that it would match the encoding of the actual release. A ProRes trailer would be fun, but again that wouldn't tell us much.

I thought the Blu-ray separate release was announced as remastered so I would say it's very likely they will be included with the UHD BD. Now, the bigger question for the remastered BDs in general is: was it a quick, dirty, and cheap HDR to SDR conversion with crappy compression (that we have seen too many times with titles) or was there some real effort put forth?

2 and 3 are entertaining but not something I need in 4K.
I really don't understand the disdain for 2 and 3, the writing is incredibly clever, especially in 2.

Yeah, these releases need The Power of Love.

Exactly.

The 3 movies in the trilogy is one continuous epic adventure and I treat them as one single long movie.

It is my #1 all time favorite trilogy.

I agree. I actually watch Part 2 and Part 3 more than the first one.

Part 2 is a clever retread of Part 1.

Still enjoy it and can't wait for the set.

Retread? It doesn't even have the same plot.

It's just a bit of a shame that they waited four years to make the sequels, because Michael J Fox looks pretty obviously older in them.

Nice to see the BB pre-order link back up! I'm split between paying the premium for the Steelbooks even though I'm not a fan of how they did them or going with the regular edition with that horrible design of sliding the discs in and out of the sleeve-same design as the Jurassic Park 4K collection.

Seems like the UK edition could be the winner though!

It seems weird that Part 2 and 3 seemed to have gotten mediocre reactions when they came out, but now are beloved. Glad they are now though
