Calculating colour accuracy and black levels is best left to making informed choices on what type of TV is best for a specific environment. I'm sure folks like Geoff D are sitting in their primo spot whilst watching content to give us their well informed views.
Primo spot? Don't be silly. Why would I go to the trouble of properly calibrating it just to sit in the sweet spot? I sit two rooms away and watch via a series of mirrors. With the TV upside down.

Warm settings make things like white shirts and bright white lights look a bit yellow. Which isn’t good.

I know its not a popular color temperature setting but I find cool to be pleasing to my eyes, greens look green, blue skies look blue, skin looks like skin without the yellowing. I have a 2016 oled

Only if you're used to seeing stuff in standard mode.

Once your eyes adjust to it, the whites look pure white and they have a blue tint in standard mode.

It's amazing how your vision can deceive you sometimes.

Can you confirm if the sd blu rays are remastered and new transfers compared to the previous 25th or 30th anniversary. I got the new uk blu ray box set yesterday which has just been released. The box stated they are newly remasted but they are the same transfers and ecodes as the old sets

That's so weird, my original post had you reviewing discs sit on the loo watching your Sony through an elaborate hallway of funhouse mirrors.

Our brains like the blue, they make things look brighter, one of the reasons store modes are on the cool side.

Switch to Warm 2 and leave it for a week, you'll be surprised how awful Cool and Natural look.

If it's what you like then it's what you like, but it's mad how much the cool setting messes with the colours and sucks the nuances out. If people just gave it time their brains would adjust accordingly and D65 would look 'normal'.

I mean, I recently got some new glasses with reactions lenses that go a distinctly red-toned colour in the sun, and after a few minutes I just get used to it - when I take them off everything (and this is the real world, not a telly) looks so cold and blue it's kinda crazy. Eyeses, eh? Who'd have 'em

Given how some - most, even - people have got their settings when watching movies, the "funhouse mirror" is a nice simile for how they're distorting the imagery. But it really is the norm that most people just do whatever they want, so this is nothing new.

This!
When my tv was calibrated the guy explained how so few things are actually mastered with "white" colours, like so few things in nature are pure white. There's a slightly yellow tinge.
Prior to this I watched everything in HDR effect, standard and now when I switch back to that setting it's so washed out. You see far more detail when everything isn't tinged with white / blue

Amazon UK is now allowing US pre-orders for the standard 4k set. I cancelled mine the other day because it was getting too close to release date and I still couldn't change my address to my real US address. But I'm going to hold off on re-ordering for now. They aren't taking much off for VAT and it's coming to over $70 with shipping to the US for the standard set which is just too high.

The D65 white point that a calibrated TV would be aiming for would look yellow compared to a TV set to a cooler setting by default. But that is what the display is supposed to look like and as others have mentioned, you get used to it and when you go back to what you had you'll notice how blue the whites are. I want my movies and TV to look as close to what they were supposed to look like, that's the ultimate purpose of a display.

Neither is buying a high end display and using it wrong.
