I have opened at least 10 new Blu-ray cases with a loose disc or 2 inside and have not once seen a loose disc with a scratch on it. Furthermore most stores allow exchanges as long as its for the exact same one. Go ahead and open it! |

SpazeBlue That is all right not a problem. As others noticed, I had a comic dig at Beetle juice chalk edition-4k that was sharply marked up compared to the ordinary 4k edition. Goonies was another 4k with a standard edition and a 'How much!!" edition Have a good day now

Official review is up on here. As expected nearly a perfect score! So excited to get mine on release! Being Universal, it is always wise to be a little concerned on a new release... but looks like BTTF went the way of Psycho on 4K, best it's ever looked.

Just Finished all three! They look and sound great!! No issues here.
My box was half open(not taped all the way) plus cardboard corner of case holder crushed but amazingly steels were in perfect shape. |

Does anyone know yet whether the BDs in the UK 4K set are remastered, or are they the old BDs as per the UK BD set?

I wish they’d include the original audio but the more I think about it, Atmos isn’t just about the ceiling speakers; it’s about making the audio more precise with object based tech and I assume most filmmakers of these films would have loved to have them. What do you all think?

To investigate this further why not compare with the old Blu-ray and its DTS-HD MA 5.1 track...? An odd thing I noticed was from this scene, which Universal put in Youtube: After 2 minutes, once the Delorean takes off (2m30s in the disc), the scene was taken from the 1st movie, but the sound effect is different NOW. Did they change only for this bit or there are other modifications? (If there are I still have not found). And what about the 1st movie? I asked before if this bit is darker for the 4K when compared to the old Blu-ray: https://imgur.com/8Ns4RCi https://imgur.com/t2U2v9O If it is, then it's revisionism (at least for these few seconds) because someone thought it should look like this and it was way brighter before (I watched BTTF many times and was always puzzled about this). Which is also strange since what came before it was in fact wrong, since Marty arrived in 1955 at 06:00 AM, so scenes from the Peabody Farm are way too dark, with only a bit of sunlight. Has anyone checked if any of the movies are darker than before? Not just this scene, of course. A review that doesn't compare different media releases can't answer any of my questions. |
