I've been reading about these preauth cancels happening a lot recently with DD. Just experienced one myself for the first time this morning. Just when I think they can't be a worse run company, they show me how wrong I am...

That said, I'm not too torn up about it because, yes, the item I had cancelled was Adaptation. I made the pre-order before Shout made their asinine announcement that their release was actually going to be barebones with no new scan or remaster. I already own the Image release, but I've had such an awful time trying to get DD orders cancelled that I didn't even bother trying and was just going to eat it. So, in this case, I'm actually saying thank you to DD for their screwup. Now, if they cancel my Dawn Of The Dead UK 4K LE preorder sometime in the next month, I will be extremely angry...

And to bring this back on topic, Amazon wasn't exactly in top form themselves, only mailing out my Hoverboard edition of BTTF 4K yesterday via UPS. Currently set to arrive tomorrow, but we'll see. And since they decided to use UPS, God knows what condition it will be in when it arrives. {fingers crossed}

I don't think it was a glitch - it was limited to 2,000 copies (3,000?). You don't limit the number of sales for something that is intended for mass market unless it's a special offer.

Too impatient to wait for my Target order to ship, so just cancelled the online order and picked it up while getting groceries this morning.

Discs taken straight out of those sleeves in the digibook and put in my disc binder! Don't really want to risk pulling them in and out of that cardboard.

Don't blame you. My Mummy disc in the Trilogy set is scratched to shit. This is making me leaning towards the steelbooks.

Amazon says they shipped my 4K overboard version today and should have tomorrow. I don't have prime so if I get it the next day is very nice of them.

I think what's neat in this case is that the steelbook is labeled as the 30th anniversary. Now it looks like I took the Delorean 5 years into the future (2015 into 2020) to get the 4Ks.

Sorry I didn't tell y'all about COVID. I thought the masks I saw people wearing were the 2020 fashion trend, so I didn't question it.

Now I know why Doc told me NOT to travel to 2020.

Picked up a copy earlier and was relieved to find it cheap (for Canadian standards) since I’m throwing Universal’s cowardly cardboard packaging in the recycling bin where it belongs.

Grabbed it there too. Sunrise is either super cheap compared to Best buy and Amazon or way over priced. Universal has been good. Disney's the worst.

It was 100% a glitch. There is no reason for them to list it at that price as a pre-order. They sold over 3000 on ebay alone and canceled a good amount of them. Someone screwed up and they are honoring as much as they can.

That's what I did, fits in there very nicely. You can still close it with the book and the animated DVD case in it but it's a little too thick.
