Not a lot of talk about the Atmos mix on the first film in reviews. Barely a mention. As always video seems to be the only thing reviewers care about...sigh!

Import it from the UK, unless you have a strong aversion to ratings logos:

No. Mine had not shipped as of yesterday, so went to store, picked up movie there and then canceled the on-line order. Don't think I am going to pre-order from them again.

I love the look and feel of the hard case digibook but this is just the wrong way to store the discs. BTW, the outer slipcover was wrapped in one of those spider things at BB so there were 4 dings on it. Thankfully I was planning on ditching the slip anyway but that was stupid of BB.
Get the Best Buy 4K Steel Book trilogy. Those actually have individual cases.

In this case the PQ was the element in greatest need of improvement, especially for those of us contemplating a third (fourth? fifth?) trip to the well.

An Atmos remix falls into the "OK/nice to have" category for me with these movies, if nothing else I can mux the old 5.1 with the 4K if the Atmos is lousy. If this were Tron Legacy, I can assure you there'd be a lot more discussion about an Atmos remix.

Forgot to mention in my other post, I had a weird macroblocking/stutter issue near the end, right after Marty goes back to 1985 and the camera pans up to the clock tower. It didn't freeze which surprised me, I have a lot of disc freeze issues with my early Sony X800, right around the 2 hour mark of a disc.

Also an audio issue I had, when 1st started playback I had no audio, had to pause and hit play to get audio. I had the same issue with the Jaws UHD. Have not had this specific issue with any other discs.

You'll never get a Atmos mix with older films like you do with films today. I think people need to know Atmos mixes for home theater a different then theater mixes. In theaters they have a lot of speakers in a Dolby Atmos theater and all those objects are separate objects so they can really have a detailed mix, where the home mix they take 2 objects and combine them into one. Even todays action movies in Atmos are let's say crappy. Example i have watched many movies where there's a flyby but it doesn't feel like it went front to back at all, but that's how they mix it, compared to the Atmos demo disc where you hear Atmos works fine in the home theater.

Don't like them. Besides, I already have 2 sets of steelbooks (one set from Japan) and plan on using one of those to house these 4K discs.

FWIW I watched the whole trilogy on a Panasonic 820 and had no playback freezes or stutters whatsoever (UK discs).

That is only if the number of objects exceed what the encoder is capable of. Most mixes do not have that issue.

They really have been screwing Prime members this whole year. I ordered the Universal monster set on Monday and it’s not getting here until Thursday’s and I’m a Prime member so I should be been getting it today.

I'll keep you posted. I'm up in S Jersey so it'll be a while before I get back to S Florida to check on them. Hopefully I get both haha.

I have a couple of friends who are prime members and they have problems with it that they really shouldn't be.I just tracked it and on the website it says "it was handed directly to a resident". It was NOT-It was left between my 2 doors in front of my house-I see them do this all the time.
