I would say the global pandemic is a good reason why there is not enough stock to go around.

Unless you expect people to work 24/7 to press discs and package them.

I ordered this from Target. Never had an issue with them yet. Looking forward to watching it.

Your disc likely has a pressing defect where some of the pits are unreadable. Even if the disc is not scratched, the layers could have been "smushed" together in one area causing all of the pits in that area on at least two different layers to be out of focus and indistinguishable. You will not know that your disc is like this until you run the entire disc through a player or computer drive. If you have a computer drive, you can download a program called Nero DiscSpeed and use the ScanDisc function. Get the disc exchanged, or if it is not available, request a replacement from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

No other studio seems to be having keeping stock issues of their movies.

The kicker is it is in stock in my store, but I cannot change it to pickup even though it hasn't shipped yet. AND it says they will automatically cancel it if it isn't delivered by the 28th... AND I don't want to cancel it b/c I used a $10 rewards coupon and don't want to go through the trouble to get it back.

I think I changed the Colour Gamut to Auto and Dynamic Colour to Off as suggested... but I can't remember for sure. So many settings... lol

OK. Will turn sharpness to 0.

What, like the comments I keep reading about people having a hard time finding certain Warners and Sony titles? Look, Universal are playing it all sensible like, they're not pressing untold amounts of catalogue UHD stuff no matter how big or important the movie may be (though they couldn't even if they wanted to, the state of replication plants being what they are in 2020 and Q4 always leads to a logjam of replication as people gear up for the holiday season) and now more than ever you're not going to see that policy change. If it means you get a delay on your order then I'm sorry about that, genuinely, but people need to look at the bigger picture here and quit sounding so entitled.

I don’t see anyone is sounding entitled? Is it bad to want something that you paid for? From a lot of people on here the discs keep freezing. So explain that. Doesn’t matter what Quarter it is. If a business can’t keep up with demand then they shouldn’t be in business at all and should go under.

I don't even know where this lack of availability talk is coming from - it's not like this is the first time a retailer has not shipped something on time, pandemic or no pandemic.

The Target stores in my area sure have plenty of copies of the exclusive that aren't flying off the shelves.

This is only the Target exclusive we're talking about, right? The Amazon exclusive is available. The standard 4K set is available. The Best Buy exclusive 4K set is available. Yet, somehow Universal has stock issues because some Target orders haven't shipped yet? The Target exclusive is even still orderable! Just not seeing the "stock issues".

Perhaps not entitled, but certainly not dealing with or accepting the current state of the world.

Discs are freezing because UHD players are a bit shit, but what does that have to with the price of tea in China? I love the scorched earth policy that you have when you can't get what you want though, reminds me of this

Well,I got on chat with Target this morning after posting here. The gentleman recommended I cancel my order and re-order it which he did.The problem now was I used two Target gift cards to pay for it.The gift card for one went back into my account which paid the majority of the purchase but the second gift card didn't.He recommended I wait a little bit and if the second gift card amount, which was a older card and the small amount left on it paid the difference, doesn't get added back shortly,he gave me the number of Target gift cards.

After about two hours,I decided to call them. The girl was very nice and they found the difference on the second gift card and said it should be added to the first card/my account but it may take four hours to twenty four hours to go back.If it doesn't go back on by tomorrow late morning, then I should call back. She gave me a case number with all the info on this situation and told me to keep my re-order in the cart.

So right now,I've got the Target Exclusive sitting in a cart with three quarters of my refund returned and I'm waiting for the rest to be added back to my card/account so I can re-order this.

I still want the rest of my refund and will call back if it's not added but if the rest isn't back in early tomorrow morning when I go out for my shopping and errands,I'll probably just stop at my two local Targets to see if they have a copy on the floor since I'll be out and nearby both locations anyway.I'll just use the one gift card that has the majority of the money back on it and pay the difference in cash. It's not much.I'll just save the rest of the refund when it's added back towards something else in the future.

I'm a big vinyl record collector and in recent years the demand for vinyl has skyrocketed. There have been instances of many record companies unable to produce enough copies to meet high demand for certain titles - especially this year. Currently there is a global lacquer supply shortage so not many records can be pressed. So according to your logic since record companies are unable to meet demand due to circumstances out of their control, they deserve to 'go under'? See how stupid that sounds.

I talked to Target just now and those with preorders that still want them should call customer service. I still wanted mine as it was half of a buy one get half off deal. The guy was super helpful. Evidently the preorders of this release fell into some vortex never to be resolved! He is shipping it 2 day... I'll get it on Saturday.
