Yes I am. People need to stop using covid as an excuse of companies slacking. Life goes on covid or no covid.

That wasn't about companies slacking but good to know your head is still firmly planted in the sand.

Didn't realize Geoff's already seen these. Haven't been keeping up with the thread, thought only reviewers had gotten copies so far.
Thanks for the tip. Although he’s a bit too harsh, as I said before... Actually, a lot of people already got these.

Ignore the Karen. There’s no reasoning with a Karen.

Amazon seems to be more concerned that the gift bag arrives intact than the item inside it.

I know paying the extra $3.50 shouldn't be necessary, but it is either that or risk disappointment and spend more time requesting a replacement. At least the gift bags are reusable, so that's a small consolation.
I've never really had a bad experience with Amazon when they ship through USPS or Amazon Local. But with UPS there's always a damn problem, either it comes damaged or not at all. The reason I had to get a replacement was because the first one never showed up even though they marked it as Delivered.

If fans were hoping that Universal would use the occasion of Back to the Future's 35th anniversary to overhaul the movie for high definition, to move past the studio's previously acceptable, but ultimately lackluster, Blu-ray effort, then those fans are going to be delighted. "History is going to change," Marty says in the movie, and indeed Back to the Future now looks stunning. Gone is the filtered and flatter appearance that was best suited for standard definition DVD. Universal has overhauled the film to give it a very natural, unabashedly filmic appearance. Grain is intact, complimentary and somewhere between fine and dense but always organic. It does have a slightly noisier appearance in lower light interiors: the first sequence in Marty's home, for example, when Biff confronts George. Later in chapter 11 when Marty and Doc roam the high school halls serves as another example. The picture struggles most during Biff's tussles with Marty and George late in the film when he's making his moves on Loraine in the parking lot; the picture here deals with the noisiest looking grain and definition falters here as well, almost looking like video rather than film. But overall the picture bears the fruit of a healthy, filmic texture which serves the movie well, and it probably looks better than it did projected in theaters decades ago.
It's not how it was when it first appeared here. It was all sugar at first. Now they've changed it. So reviewers on here do read these forums or other, more critical reviews and do adjust. Good for them.

That is so bizarre. I hope they fix and do a replacement program.

Universal stuff tends to drop pretty quickly, so I'd expect it to. Still holding out on the Hitchcock set for the same reason.

UPS is the worst in my experience also.

I never know which carrier Amazon will ship my orders with; they switch it up often. I just use the gift wrapping option to improve the odds of receiving my stuff safely when my order is of particular importance or fragility.

Called Target customer service and they cancelled my preorder and then placed a new order for the discounted price. It now says it should be delivered on Tuesday. Hopefully this works.

Well, I contacted both Universal on FB and Universal Home Entertainment on their website about this, but no reply so far. Next I'll try Dean Cundey if need be, I suppose

Best Buy is in their holiday return policy already, so anything you buy should be price match eligible through New Years, if that counts for anything.
