there were actresses who looked MUCH closer to Claudia Wells like Julie Warner , they should have spent more time casting Jennifer #2 ![]() Claudia by comparison ![]() |

Part II had to begin where Part I left off with them all going into the future. That was not actually intended to be a set-up for a sequel but that's where they had to begin and they quickly realized that she was just sort of in the way and upset the dynamic so they had to come up with ways to knock her unconscious and get her out of the way. |

Doc and Marty spend half the movie carrying her around while she's unconscious. It's silly.

Not BTTF, but I had a brand new 4K disc freeze and upon restarting the player it thought the disc was a data disc and brought up menus during the discs file structure
I took the disc out and it looked like someone had lathered it with vaseline. I learned from that point on to always make sure the disc was clean before putting it in my player. |

Plus the execution of how they dispose of her character does more to diminish the main duo than it does to compliment them. "She saw the time machine. I couldn't leave her with that information." So why all the theatrics of you warping into the driveway? If you had just come in off a different street, you wouldn't have had to make a conspicuous entrance. And what do you mean you couldn't leave her knowing that she saw a time machine? She didn't know it was a time machine and neither Marty when he first laid eyes on it. "Don't worry. She'll be fine." Here's an idea. Since she's knocked out, why don't you go back in time to where you found her and THAN go back to the Future with Marty so you can do your time tampering? You're leaving her unattended on a laser disc trash pile. And it doesn't work! And leaving her on the patio in the alternate 1985? Wow. We have a neighborhood in ruins, violent crimes galore and you just left her out in the open on someone else's house that is clearly geared up for intruders ("I don't remember bars behind those windows.")? The idea that Marty or Doc never thought of going back for Jennifer after realizing what is happening is pretty terrible. A character is only deadweight when they're written as such. For all the creative talent behind the creation of such amazing characters, it really disappoints me that they picked this route to go on without so much as a thought on what they could have done. I'm kind of glad Claudia Wells didn't come back for the sequels since they would have kicked her character off to the curb anyways. |

I think in pt3 where Marty is with Doc in 1955 and then 1985 Doc in 1885 in the space of 5 mins it would have been good if Marty asks Doc do you remember fixing the Delorean in 1955 for me to come back here?
We never really got an idea whether the 1985 Doc remembered all the 1955 bits both in pt1, pt3 and potentially pt2 if he recognises it is himself talking to his 1985 version at the lamppost. It would have been cool for the 1985 Doc to say to Marty in pt3 that he remembers all of it. Also on a geeky side note the disks say ratio 1:85:1. It would have been quite cool if pt2 listed it as 1:85A:1 just for laughs |

it would be kool if they could go back in time and make the word trilogy fade away from this set leaving us with only the original BTTF film.
BTTF 2+3 belong in the same trash bin as JP 2+3..actually they are worse than the JP sequels..lol... |

I have both the Australia and Amazon US version. Love the skateboard. Curious, is the blu-ray copies that came with this set updated versions or are they the same as previous versions ofthe blu-ray?

I just finished Part II.
First off, I must say I'm flabbergasted by how much hate this one is getting on the forum. As far as I remember general consensus wise, Part III was the black sheep of the trilogy while Part II was regarded as one of the best sequels of all time. I personally love all three, and I see them as three pieces of a whole much like the original Star Wars trilogy. As for the 4K, again I was pretty pleased. The HDR steals the show but definition is also improved throughout. I was concerned about all the optical shots, but honestly I thought they looked pretty good. You can definitely tell there is a drop off in quality but to me it looks like going from 4K HDR to 1080 SDR, which isn't too shabby. I encountered a freeze during the tunnel scene, however I am almost 100% sure it is a player based problem because I did a thorough wash of this disc before playing. Another clue that it isn't a disc problem is that after skipping back a chapter, playback was still stuttering even on a portion that was playing fine before. I also thought of something for the first time while watching these films: why is there a Marty in 1955 at all when they go back? Marty only went back in the "normal" 1985 which no longer existed after returning from 2015, and with the rich Biff timeline, he couldn't have done back since Doc was committed. It was at that time I reminded myself that movies about time travel are best left not thought on too hard and just enjoyed the rest. |
