By the way, did I mention that I consider the German theatrical logo to be the best international adaptation of that iconic BTTF logo ever?
It manages to retain the design details of the original logo: the connected "CK" in "BACK" / "ZURÜCK" as well as the final "K" in the same word which connects with the backwards arrow nicely. ![]() Other countries had to jump hoops by bending "R" (France), "O" (Italy) or "Д" (Russia) way out of shape in order to accommodate that arrow. (link to a gallery of international logos). |

Besides that, and the arrival in 1955 Hill Valley fuzziness (about 5 minutes of screen time), this looked pretty damn great. A vastly, superior, presentation than the previous blus. |

my steelbook finally arrived today from the states.
watched the first movie today it should be called back to thy grain! it's barely noticeable in the light outdoor area but my god the indoor dark areas it's really bad especially in docs garage it's some of the worst i have seen yet! hope the other two movies are better...so far though it's definitely not 4K worthy. i also experienced freezing in a few parts |

You can definitely file me under the ‘seen these a million times’ category. I’m watching part 2 now on my JVC NX7 with 150 screen. I must say I’m definitely underwhelmed. Are these supposed to be native 4K? Looks more like a decent BD. Looks very processed, and I’m seeing jaggies on buildings in part 2.. it’s no Shining.. or even V for Vendetta.. wonder what happened to that thread.
They do make good use of Atmos though, lots of distinct overhead effects. Edit: Comparing to the 25th anniversary BD, I can barely tell the difference. Returning this set as defective lol. Last edited by plissken99; 11-06-2020 at 08:30 PM. |
