Getting nervous. Several days back, my bank placed a hold on funds for my Amazon UK order of the Time Circuits set, but those have now been returned to my account because it's been over 72 hours and Amazon hasn't actually completed the order. Still says Preparing for Dispatch, so that's good, I guess, but now I'm worried.

Mine’s still Preparing for Dispatch at the moment, so I have all of my fingers and toes crossed. It will break my heart at a level few other things in this year of endless heartbreaks have if they do to me what they did to you.

My wish came true! I got the dispatch notification later Wednesday evening and it just arrived at my door (Friday afternoon). I know we pay a premium for Global Priority shipping, but DHL makes it soooo worth it. Less than 48 hours from dispatch email to arrival!

I just looked through the set and it's gorgeous! All the discs are perfect and I feel much safer about them staying that way in steelbooks as compared to the digibook packaging. Does anyone know if I need to worry about the BDs not being remastered, as happened with the earlier release? I remember reading about a replacement program for those discs, but didn't even consider this set being impacted until I opened it just now!

Keep hope alive! My set was in Preparing for Dispatch for at least a few days before flipping to Dispatching Now late Wednesday afternoon, and then to Dispatched that evening. I'll keep my fingers crossed yours ships very soon!

First real 4K disc issue I've had ever.

This is the kind of thing I read about over and over and it really makes me doubt the entire format. If I have to worry about minuscule scratches or specs of dust freezing up the disc, then this format has some serious issues they should have worked out before launching it. Sometimes I don't even get to watch some discs until weeks or months after I buy them. With blu-ray, I don't have to worry that it won't play when I do take it out to watch for the first time. I have UHDs I still haven't watched yet from months ago and I wonder how many will even play straight through. I'm guessing none, since just about every UHD disc I watch freezes at some point. I'm really disliking this format thanks to all the issues that come with it.

I just found that one of discs in my Friends Complete Series set appears to be out and out blank. Nothing even begins to even recognize it as a disc.

And I just found that the blu-ray for Lawrence Of Arabia in the Columbia Classics UHD set has a manufacturing defect, this weird arc under the surface a couple inches long.

And there was that bad batch of blu-rays from that one production factory. I have an old Basic Instict that got bronzing. Etc.

That said such issues are rare with blu-ray (they do seem more common with UHD, but there are far worse issues with downloads and even more streaming as versions are suddenly swapped on you or they disappear entirely, etc. nevermind the inferior quality, more limited ways to playback and adjust HDR etc.).

Terrible box, terrible covers, but individual cases, prime for custom covers if you're able. Sadly no inserts.

Yeah i saw it on YouTube and wasn't very impressed with it. I'm fine with the Best Buy steelbook edition.

People are not happy about the packaging in Australia, I'd rather it come like that, than in a single "book" form where the discs are harder to pull out of the case.

It's very nifty, if people hate the cardboard box that contains the three individual cases, then they can always dispose of that and just keep the cases.
