The deep blacks are exactly what I've been after since my Plasma buying days and it really does make movie watching a lot more enjoyable with the AR bars essentially fading in to nothing. Granted this was my first 4k tv and the first new display I've bought since the Panny Plasma I bought ~8 years ago, so I can only really compare it to that and some lower end 4k TV's friends have bought. If you're on a C8, you know how great the pure blacks are and is probably comparable to the CX. It is a massive step up from my old plasma which I was a little worried about, but I did side by sides for a few nights and the difference was obvious. The only regret I have is not getting the 77" over the 65", but that was a hefty increase in price (basically double here in Canada at the time) and I'll eventually get a 4k projector in a year or two to satisfy that need. |

The PS5 doesn't have VRR atm, but I've played Dirt 5 and WRC 9 in 120 modes and it was pretty smooth. Nice that we've at least moved to 60 being the standard now. |

As for audio, I'm exactly not sure what the sound differences are. I think the DVD I recall watching long ago had some recent sounding SFX added and an alternate take for one of Doc's lines for BTTF I.
Speaking of original mixes, it's funny that even the DVDs and all their dubs had the 5.1 remixes (which were ported over to the Blus and used as the basis for the Atmos/7.1 mixes). I heard on some of the HD and 4k streaming versions (Amazon Prime and I think Youtube/Google Play) that if you have a device or sound setup that only plays 2 channel audio, it will default to a English 2.0 track. That 2.0 track is supposedly the original theatrical mix but then I also hear it's a folddown of the 5.1 remix. |

Does the 4K release include cut with Eric Stoltz?

That is inside baseball geekdom that my 18-22 year old self probably would have lapped up. But no, Eric is not still in Back to the Future anymore than stuntmen are "still in" action sequences (instead of the actor) of most Hollywood movies in reverse coverage and longshots. Unless we see his face it's not a continuity error or inconsistent we are seeing Marty Mcfly on screen.

It's a single shot that appears to be Stoltz. |
