I thought that video was only comparing VHS to Blu-ray. Has it been confirmed somewhere that the VHS audio is the same as the original theatrical release audio?

It is, but both the LD and VHS contain the Original Dolby Stereo (Surround) soundtracks.

35mm vs. 70mm, so both are right.

I got the new set from Barnes and Noble yesterday, after they slapped 50% off stickers onto several Universal titles, although this one had spider wrap pinching the box.

If anybody else is interested in the Original Dolby Stereo Surround, a user at the Internet Archive synced the LD tracks to use with the 4K Trilogy.

BTTF: https://archive.org/details/back-to-...io-4k-uhd-sync
BTTF2: https://archive.org/details/back-to-...audio-uhd-sync

I have the 2020 4K set but am interested in the new set for the artwork and packaging. Is there a good chance the new set will drop in price to $20 to $25 range around Black Friday or in the future maybe next year if a 40th anniversary set comes out?

Do you know if the Oppo can play an audio track on a flash drive along to a disc playing?

I'm not aware of any players that can do that with audio tracks.

Even though this makes the back covers less accurate, I decided to switch the cases for Part I and Part III, pairing the bonus disc with the original movie.

Pretty much guaranteed but might take a bit your best bet is to keep an eye on Gruv and their codes/sales

If I scan the front and back cover of each case into the database, should I remove the discs first?

EDIT: I see that the front cover of each movie is "Locked" to the current banner-less poster...

I don’t know why people keep locking individual releases in a box set to their original movies posters instead of the actual cover art, but it’s annoying as hell. They did the same thing with the Friday the 13th box set.

In BTTF's case (no pun intended), it's because it took Universal 14 years to give each movie individual Blu-ray cases, unless you count the Steelbooks.

I have successfully sold the old set and bought the new set. Those individual cases inside the box are so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

How do we know the 70mm version had the more subdued Doc line? Is there an article that explains the audio differences between the 35mm and 70mm?

Is the new June 2024 edition region free, including the blu-ray discs? had anyone given it a try?

The discs are exactly the same. It’s just new packaging.

Also, Universal is basically always region free.

I remember one day finding a standalone bttf 1 blu ray at wal mart, the only time I saw the bttf movies on either blu or 4k be sold individually

Sorry, I know this has probably been discussed a lot but, Can anyone tell me if the UK bluray (not 4k) boxset release from 2020 is the remastered bluray discs without the crazy edge enhancement. Basically the blurays included in the 4k boxset.?
