Total was $27.99 after 20% first-time-order coupon on Gruv. Amazing deal!

I grabbed my steelbook set at GRUV for $34.99. Pretty good for three films/steelbooks.

I paid almost $20 more than that, for this year's standard-case reissue back in August. I don't really mind, though; it was still about $15 per film, and I love all of them.

The $35 steelbook is tempting but they milk these movies so much on home video I'm sure there will be another release down the road with slight improvements.

Given that these 4Ks were sourced from fresh scans made for the series' 35th anniversary, I wouldn't expect any more significant visual changes until the 45th or even 50th.

It already looks great. And even if there's some very slight, marginal improvement later on, you'll have the movies to enjoy in the interim. Which sure beats not having the movies at all while you wait for the next release.

I doubt they'll get new scans in the next 30 years.

Received my order today from GRUV. Unfortunately 2 of the cases were broke and bent and the outer case was damaged. Going to return for a refund.

By the time events switch to 1955, almost every scene pops regularly color-wise...so I'm wondering if that was Zemeckis' intent and the new disc recreated it.
UPDATE: After more than 3 months, I finally heard back from a Universal rep about my question regarding the first film's color timing. I'm paraphrasing, but her somewhat cryptic response was "This restoration was meticulously created as originally intended". I just wish I could've had a more absolute confirmation from Robert Zemeckis or Bob Gale, but they're not on social media and the studio said they had no way to reach them.

24$ is very good price for this but I already own the hdr10 version and don't like this enough to double dip on it.

Got some sweet Christmas money and want to add the Back To The Future films to my 4K collection.

Been looking on here and Apparantly 2 different 4K trilogy collector’s editions were released in the UK

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Back-...lu-ray/275711/

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Back-...lu-ray/281541/

Are either of these worth owning? Or am I just better off getting the standard 4K trilogy set?
Just wondering if the extra paraphernalia is worth the extra money or if it’s all just cheap tat?

I've got the time circuits edition and it's not bad, the tat is quite nice (some of it reproduced FAR betterer than the tin Blu-ray edition from years ago, the quality of the photos is much improved), but I'm still disappointed that the actual 'time circuit' cover isn't lenticular. No-one ever said it was going to be, I just think it's a missed opportunity.

The plutonium box looks like straight up junk IMO.

I remember not being big on the 4k art, especially Biff wearing the doofus helmet in B2 on covers that made his character look too silly. Ended up frankensteining from dvd sets

I just stuck the UHDs in my 25th Anniversary set, right as rain, I should be mad at how abysmal the packaging was on that initial 4k set but I grabbed it for only $20
