I still find it hilarious that whenever the films are broadcast over here, they still use the pre-DNR'ed and EE'ed presentations.

Even the networks know they're shite.

Don't get too excited but I think BTTF 1 & 3 are different encodes, perhaps from different transfers, than the Blu-rays currently on Netflix.

Been taking a cursory look at BTTF 1 in particular and looks more similar to the DCP than the blu-ray.

BUT - here comes the context, keep an eye out for it - this is clearly a new and hitherto unseen transfer of the film. It has been rumoured that a UHD is in the works. It doesn't take a ****ing rocket scientist to work out that this is a glimpse of what is possibly to come, but that's all it is, a glimpse. And yet: that glimpse is enough to get me excited after having put up with these piece of shit transfers for so long.

As for not being a "film nerd", whatever that's supposed to mean, you're certainly nerdy enough to ask "when's the release date?" over and over in this thread like a distracted kid in the backseat of a car who keeps asking "are we there yet?". But when the first concrete evidence of there being a new transfer appears it gets dismissed out of hand by yourself, I mean....wut?

And lol at the other fella claiming that there's detail there that never existed. That bit at the front of the car is NOT part of the stock Delorean, I just called it a 'bumper' because that was the easiest way to reference it instead of saying 'time displacement rail thingy that was added by the production designer'. And...oh look, there's loads of tiny perforations in a photo of the same part of a screen-used car. I suppose that photo has also had this dastardly "filter" applied to it in order to magically create that detail out of nowhere?

Something I haven't seen anyone mention yet about the new Netflix Part 2 transfer... That annoying warble that was present in a few bits of the score music on DVD and Blu-ray, is now fixed.

And just think… It only took them 18 years to correct!

Wait...really?!? I'm not gonna lie: the PQ was poor but I could tolerate it on BTTF pt2, yet that warbling in the audio was too much. With them ACTUALLY remastering the movies this time and not just continually re-using the AV transfers that were done in 2002 then there was always a chance the squinky audio would get corrected. Yay!

Cool that the audio has been fixed. Wish someone would fix the English dub of Kiki's Delivery service one of these days and rid of us that weird distortion of the dialogue.

Check the detail on the right side. It looks to be a vintage "ball" speaker and because of the old master quality, I've never noticed it before!
