Not a leak, but an officially sanctioned release. Kicks.com IS Universal.

Do you think the 4K disc will be one for all the world? Every time Warner writes the usual 3 languages on the back of the bluray, but if you put the disc there are all languages

All of this artwork is so bad, haha. It's like studios know we'll buy it regardless so they have a contest to see how terrible they can make it.

Can we talk about the Home Alone 4K steelbook art? Horrifying. Looks made with paint

No different from what I recall some VHS collector covers being in the past. It's possibly less the artwork and more just a need to complain because the steelbooks are a lot better than what I've seen on a lot of releases over the past few generations.

The steelbooks had more effort put into the art than say... the recent Batman ones (with the generic city-scapes). The box with the random photoshopped characters is pretty pathetic, though. I'm not that big into cover art, but I would expect something better if I'm paying extra for fancy packaging. I don't know why studios are allergic to the original iconic poster art.

Because it simply doesn’t sell. The cover is a marketing tool, aimed to do nothing more than attract a buyer. By making the cover appear like a modern film poster, it has more appeal to the newer generations that these sets are mostly aimed towards.

Yeah, that one was really bad, too. Like I said, I'm not always big into cover art. Most of the time it's some generic "floating heads" cover or whatever. But some of these collector's steelbooks they commission, where they expect people to pay extra to get, are lazy and tacky and just embarrassing. The Batman films are still the worst, I'd say.

It does beggar belief that they can produce such mediocre cover art when they have perhaps the greatest movie poster ever made at their disposal. Oh well.

The spine of the set is also key. If that steelbook box holder is anything to go by, we’re going to get a ton of lengthy writing adjacent to the king of logos. I just want the BTTF logo as the spine. That’s it! It’s not hard.

More interested in seeing the spine than the front cover. Like who's staring at the front cover anyways? It looks fine to me as long as it's not a digipack.
