Oh wow - I checked this thread on the right day.

I actually found the Target set by happenstance while searching for something else and then of course immediately came to this thread to get the scoop. I wish Target had the 4K version because I gotta have this in 4K! I went for the Amazon 4K set, but the steelbook is tempting, too. Spoiled for choice!!

$70 for three movies is a bit steep for me, but I loathe digipacks so I wouldn’t want to miss out on the steelbook to get a regular case.

The artwork is absolutely hideous, but hey ho, that's basically the norm for UHD catalogue titles. Wasn't expecting there to be new bonus features, so that's neat.

If people are struggling with the cover art for these sets, just buy a 4K set and put the discs in the Target Steelbook set from a few years ago. Problem solved. Just saying...

Do press releases for UHD typically announce that they've been remastered? I think it's just treated as a given.

Anyway, the accompanying 35th anniversary Blu-ray release is definitely remastered (the promo image says as such), so you needn't worry.

I'm pretty sure that Paramount owns the distribution to the first 4 movies while Disney would own the rights to the character and any movies that would be made now. Same how Fox owned the rights to the first 6 Star Wars films.

I was just going to purchase the regular edition and put the 4K discs in my Target steelbook, but I want that hoverboard. lol. Plus, I actually like the hoverboard cover art. Wish it was on a trilogy steelbook instead of what we got (which still isn't bad).
