It probably uses magnets. That's nothing special to me. I can make my own by super gluing magnets to one of my Tech Deck finger board toys.

Dolby Stereo is 2.0 with matrix-encoded mono front and surround channels. DD2.0 is compatible to that.

Keep them closed stored away on a shelf.

The only scratched discs in my collection came from the Avatar box set and a Jurassic Park set. I always check the discs first use out and aside from some strange circle imprints on the cases themselves I have only ever received one damaged disc...it was the first Matrix 4k disc, the black ink was all wet and gooey. I took alcohol and removed almost all of the black save for a 1 inch crescent. The disc is otherwise see through and I kinda like it cause it plays the film just fine.

Lol, I actually leave the case open on my desk untill my film has completed then I place them back in and on the shelf. I have an extremely clean home but I hadn't thought of that, thanks .

So glad the original audio will be included for the original, albeit lossy. I can update my thread.

I just hope they finally fix the Ride bonus feature. It’s not the full IMAX ratio and the colors are horrible.

I think some folks won't be pleased until they do the full circle and re-relase this on VHS and LD..

I'm not buying any more releases until we get the Eric Stoltz footage in full.

Why do people want to see that so badly?

The sleeves do scratch the discs. I know from experience. And I hate steelbooks. I'll have to see if the UK packaging is more basic, or digital copies it is.

I haven't read through the thread yet, but my only concern is that the bountiful extras seem to be included on the 4K discs. I would prefer the films to swim freely on these 100GB discs. But other than that, the bonus material looks stunning. I know lots of you are already familiar with the legacy content, but take a step back and look at how plentiful and thorough this package is from a supplemental p.o.v. I'm really glad they continually port over the extras from previous releases AND add new ones.

Yeah, the cover art sucks, but not as agressively as your typical WB UHD artwork, and they've included the original poster art on the inside pages, so whatever. I like book packaging, so I'm happy. My discs never get scratched, so I'm unconcerned about that.

As far as PQ, Universal has earned my trust. Right now, they are the studio king of the UHD format.

The Steelbook slipbox cover art is so much superior. That's the one I want to get.

Plus, it's not Universal's fault Stoltz is saying "no more footage."

Disagree, it's not that bad. WB would've put Einstein the dog on a hoverboard and tried to sell it as a campy sci-fi kids flick.

If anything now I don’t have to read about no release yet.

Can’t wait for this.

Gale has stated quite a few times that Stoltz himself has no bearing whatsoever on the footage not being released. He doesn’t believe it’s prudent from a professional standpoint, and I can’t blame him.

I would love to see it once just as a curiosity, but I think the fact that we got any footage at all released publicly is a miracle.

There is a 7th disc...was assuming the bulk of the extras were on there.

I thought the press release simply said what extras were there for which movies, not that they were on the specific movie's disc...?
