^ with regards to really large format, although it’s a little dated, hoping nobody has previously posted this podcast - http://www.supersecretfilmblog.com/b...s-neihouse-asc

Speaking of Soderberg- I wish 'The Limey' would make an appearance at least on bluray- one of his best films imo and a personal favorite.

My significant other watched the Magic Mike movies and it was puke green and other nasty colors. She didn't care of course.

After the transformers cover mess, this is some great news. Thanks Peter! Visually this movie should blow the doors off the already impressive Part1!

Going to see this tonight at Dolby Cinema. But looking on Dolby's website it isn't showing up on the list of titles for either Dolby Vision or Atmos. Any news on whether this actually got the full treatment?

Yes, it did. I confirmed with the colorist. He highly recommends it.

Dolby's website is always slow and making mistakes here and there. But they announced it on their Twitter feed: https://twitter.com/DolbyCinema/stat...31386792599554

Odd. This says it's 4K but the image format is 2K:

Saw Logan Lucky at Dolby Cinema last night. I can't find any info on the camera used on IMDB, but the entire film looked nearly identical to what I usually would say was 15 perf IMAX. The image was INCREDIBLE. Very shallow depth of field, but detail was exquisite. If there was a movie that I think could convince Nolan that digital could deliver what he gets from IMAX this is it. HDR wise the colors looked great but this wasn't demo material for Dolby Vision (except for the intro production stuff). Audio was good but again not a showcase. I enjoyed the movie, some great laughs, but it was a bit too long. I typically love Soderbergh but this one could have used some tighter editing and better pacing. Can't wait to see it at home though, will make an amazing showcase disc for video.

Thanks for the quick review. Looking forward to seeing it.
I know it was shot on Red, but I don't know which one. Soderbergh has been using Reds for awhile now.

I figured Red as well. Wouldn't be surprised if Weapon X 8K.
