Yes.

When it launched in 2018 the definition of "IMAX Enhanced" used to be a bit more complex, but in 2021 and beyond, it basically just means a taller aspect ratio.

The aspect ratio on Bad Boys for Life 4k is 2.39:1, so that's not IMAX enhanced. It doesnt say anything about alternating aspect ratios.

Um...but it says it's IMAX Enhanced on the UHD cover! Spoiler alert: IE isn't just about having an expanded ratio. It's about having a bloke named Chad taking five minutes to look at the master and declaring it to be IMAX Enhanced.

Why don't they go with "Chad Approved Edition" then versus "Imax Enhanced Edition"? Seems more accurate.

None of the Sony's IE discs feature expanded aspect ratio. Not even clear if the movies have IMAX scenes.

Having said that, the branding finally have caught attention due to D+. Whatever it is, the IMAX enhanced versions looks very good to the point I am finding it difficult to go back to the disc version (especially IW and Endgame).

I don't think the Disney streamed IE versions of the movies are anything special, also the audio is weak by comparison.

The audio is temporary until DTS get's it's shit together and delivers DTSX for streaming.

There's a DTS:X "IMAX" 12.0 track and a squirt of metadata to put your receiver and TV into IMAX Enhanced mode if supported. That's pretty much it.

In actuality, having expanded image ratio is NOT the requirement to be IE Certified. It needs to have Original Aspect Ratio, whatever the OAR is.

Nope. These various issues have been documented and graphed more than once. If you have a Trinnov you can also see what's happening... or not.
