does anyone know if in fact the matrix is going to be released before christmas...as far as i can see, all these preorders are just place holders and that just plain sucks...i'd rather not see any of these and get my hopes up. has there been any news release from warner when to expect any of these titles, especially the matrix. looking at these preorders just reminds me that the same titles have already been bought on hd-hdvd

I wouldn't get too excited about this list guys. Like has been stated by several people, there are titles on there for movies that haven't even finished filming yet. As a DBA (database administrator) I know that lists like these can sometimes get generated but not even mean anything. I would take this whole thing worth a grain of salt until something firm is announced.

i wouldn't get your hopes up until there's an official release stating that these movies are going BD. don't get me wrong i'd love to get the matrix and constantine on bdm, but i'm not going to get all happy go lucky b/c some website has titles of movies i want, that hasn't been released yet.

Unhappy Can't Order These Warner Titles Yet

Tried to order some of these titles under "Buy it Now"
No luck.
Will only take orders for titles listed on their home page list.
Sorry Guys.
Works on some preorders but not on these new titles
Hoped to use that 25% discount coupon JLBM
Someone stated it's good to the end of the month.

Nice to at least see it one the site for coming soon, they are probably bieng smart and releasing them after the holiday season since there are already a ton of great titles coming out. Maybe Jan, or Feb would be perfect.

At least we're seeing some agenda schedule (ie., no-brainer that "Dark Knight" is going to get a hi-def announcement with its regular announcement sometime in fall '08...Wow!)--
But the inclusion of what they're at least LOOKING AT within the foreseeable year can prime the pump for any future hopes:

And since I'm not so easily swayed by Big New Movies, my attention was drawn to:
- HD-Classic conversions of Casablanca and Robin Hood (they probably would've been out by now, but waiting to switch over to a better codec)
- Caddyshack: 20th Anniversary
- Dirty Harry Collection
- That's Entertainment! Collection
- Wizard of Oz (okay, WB, you've listed it, you'd better deliver)
and - drumroll -
- Clash of the Titans!

...Who dares hope, but we may be one step closer to the dream of Genre Diversity!

I don't give a damn what the movie is: If it's popular and it appeals to a bunch of people then I want it on Blu even if I don't personally care for it.

It's nice to see Cool Hand Luke listed. It's a great movie.
