It's Paramount so Dolby Vision + whatever audio it has theatrically (it does have Atmos I believe), and of course it's gonna look the best it possibly can.

Word of mouth is good but if I can't make it to the theater I've already insta-pre-ordered.

Phenomenal movie. Another day one.

Now I wonder if Annihilation is even coming out on 4K since this is available for pre-order the day it's released while that is just a rumor

I just got back from this. The buzz is 100% legit. Matter of fact, it’s not getting enough praise. This film is a flatout knockout. If this had been CLOVERFIELD 3...goddamn!

All in for this on UHD...and I don’t normal buy horror films.

Saying it now; this film DESERVES a best original screenplay nomination. Dead serious. Just...wow. Stunned right now.

Shoot me in the goddamn face for even suggestion such a dumb thing. Much as I like Abrams, the film would have tainted with that brand on it.

Watched this today.

It reminded me of watching Seven for the first time at the cinema. Those last ten minutes, with John Doe, it was utter silence in the theatre. Not a word spoken.

This was just like that, but for about 90 minutes.

A truly excellent film.

Just wrapped it up at the Dolby Cinema and it was a great genre film. The UHD should be super. Plenty of lighting and textures that should translate well to the format. One of my favorite Atmos tracks is Mother! and I think this should have a similar feel. Lots of subtle sounds in the quiet scenes and when things heat up it’s going to rock the house.

Without spoiling anything, the film feels a bit exploitative at times in the way it constantly puts kids in danger, but ultimately it works and was a very satisfying flick. Love the pacing and length!
