Surprising!

Wonder if 1 and 2 will get the 4K treatment. Not great movies, but I enjoyed watching Statham always come out on top even though heavily out-numbered haha.

Because Lionsgate are actually releasing catalogue titles outside of sequel and anniversary tie-ins, whereas Fox have the others, (including the reboot), and give no f***s.

Nope, all the dedicatd Miramax stuff has to be re-negotiated for 4k.

Lionsgate is also in supposed financial trouble. They're looking for a buyer. That may hurt their 4k release schedule.

How can they be in Financial trouble? They don't release many movies. They got $1.5 Billion from Hunger Games alone. Another $1 Billion from Divergent & Twilight. Expendables, Now you see me, John Wick series did well, La La Land did okay. Even some of their failures were not that big like American Assassin, Commuter and Jigsaw all broke even.
