I’d rather have the 1954 film on UHD, that’d look gorgeous!

Neither here nor there but it's odd seeing "Lady Gaga" on that artwork. I wonder if she has considered using her real name for acting roles, particularly in motion pictures.

It's a star power thing. Dwayne Johnson went by "The Rock" for a while once he started doing movies. It's the name they're known as.

Early promotional materials did in fact use Gaga's real name. My assumption is that it was decided "Lady Gaga" is a much more recognizeable name and will keep it from escaping the notice of those who might have no idea who Stefani Germanotta is. I'm sure there are some out there, as hard as it is to believe...

I believe I understand that promotional materials will say "Lady Gaga", but the actual movie credits will show Stefani.

That's interesting, and we'll have to see if that's what transpires. But none of the reports out of the Venice Film Festival since its premiere last Friday have hinted that's the case. (At least, those I've seen.)

Movie looks good. Not sure we need yet another A Star is Born but I like Cooper as an actor and I'm curious to see what he can do as a director. Also wanna see Dave Chappelle in what appears to be a dramatic role.

So now the studios have started printing XBox compatibility on the covers too? My 4k Snow White slipcase has like 4 stickers on it. Soon the covers will be filled with these advertisements.

Feeling pretty neutral about this movie but it does have one hell of a trailer. Saw it a few times during previews at my local Dolby Cinema and it gave me goosebumps every dang time.

My God Gaga is a terrible actress though. I saw her in the American Horror Story and what a wooden nickel. I've seen infomercials with better acting. Trailer looks okay, and I do like Cooper so we will see.

She won the Golden Globe award for Best Actress for that role. I thought she was fine and one of the bright spots for that season.

In this film she’s playing an emotionally vulnerable singer, which isn’t a stretch for her because that’s who she’s been in real life. I don’t think she’s being asked to do much here. It should be pretty good.

Her winning a Globe for that performance shows awards are worthless, sorry but she was terrible in that. Not saying this will be bad, the trailer has me intrigued so we will see.

Not in my opinion. I had a bias against her because of her music, however that whole season blew, and she was the lone highlight of a terrible season IMO. I think she'll do great in this role. I can't wait to see Bradley Coopers directorial debut. Not my kind of movie, but with these ingredients they'd get me to the theater. Could be something special.
