Blind bought this because the dirt cheap Bull Moose price got me get free shipping for something else. I had always assumed the worst about it given the title and Nick Cage starring but positive feedback in this thread convinced me to give it a chance.

The case has a rather thick plastic sticker on the back saying the disc was made in Mexico and the USA. Seems like removing it would damage the case unfortunately.

Edit: Just popped it in for a quick glance and I suspect people will be very happy with this. I am now officially excited to give this a watch.

Other than the heavy grain at times I would say this movie kicked arse. The audio on this was done very good....very loud and clear. I wish all mixes were done at this volume for 4k discs. The picture quality was as good as its gonna get for this film. Im really happy i bought this and have it in my collection. But what im most happy about is it was 17.99 at best buy

I received and watched this film last night. I'd say it's one of those "good not great" UHDs. Compression and noise are quite noticeable, and the black levels seemed quite high.

Otherwise, it is a good improvement over the BD. No complaints on the sound quality, and I like that they ported over the deleted scenes and featurettes from the old 2-disc DVD (they do drop the photo gallery and interactive guns encyclopedia, but I doubt I'll miss those).

The movie itself holds up okay. Love the script, acting, and visuals. It hit me the hardest on the first watch, but I still appreciate the film and story.

Because it's unfunny, old, tired, and takes away from the quality of the review. He actually does it TWICE in this review.

will get this for sure, can't remember how many times I've rewatched this movie on blu, probably more than the number of fingers on one hand.

part of the fun for me is watching an older and mellowed Cage act against Jared Leto, who tries his darnest to channel in the-younger-over-the-top-obnoxious-Cage (I never blame Leto for lack of effort and intensity, ever)

I need more Cage in 4K UHD.

I need more Cage in 4K UHD.

Leto is terrible but he's giving it his all.

I have to pick this up eventually, I like it a lot more now than I did on release. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but cage is just so good in it.
