I'm not entirely sure I follow. Are you saying there are Paramount standalone UHDs that include both a BD and an old retailer-exculsive BD? Or a re-authored BD that includes featurettes that were once retailer exclusives? I hadn't heard about that.
The Jack Ryan UHD set includes the standard BDs, just like the standalone Red October UHD does and just like the standalone UHDs of the other titles overseas.
If/when Shadow Recruit is released as a standalone UHD here in the US, it'll be the UHD disc and the standard BD.
The BD included with the UHD is the original BD, they did not author a new one to include the Target bonus features.
The Shadow Recruit Target bonus disc is an entirely separate BD that has two featurettes:
- Plotting a Global Thriller (13:29)
About the locations and sets in the film, a nice behind-the-scenes piece
- American Spycraft (14:35)
About the CIA and American spies. Consists of a series of talking head experts, intercut with scenes from the 5 Jack Ryan films. Not about the making of this particular film.

As for the Shadow Recruit UHD itself, it's the weakest of the 5 in the Jack Ryan set, because it's not a new 4K master like the others, it's an upscale.

I thought it looked pretty damn good and coming from the best source available (2K DI). Very film-like as well, tasteful use of HDR.

It does looks good, it's just that I watched the 5 UHDs in succession over five nights, and after the gorgeous first four, there's definitely a slight step down to the fifth. There's a minor loss of fine detail, and some pixely edging to shapes. It's not ruinous, but the transfer definitely isn't the equal of the first four.

I hope this is the same day we also see a release for the single disc version of Clear And Present Danger in 4K, as that would be the last one missing.
Any idea if Clear & Present Danger is coming as well?
Listing for Shadow Recruit just showed up on Amazon but I don't see anything for Clear & Present Danger; that will be the last of the 5 from the 5 movie set not to be available individually.
