Went ahead and preordered to take advantage of the B2G1 Target sale. My girl likes horror and mentioned wanting to see this, then I saw it's GDT movie, so I went ahead and took a chance. Reviews looks pretty decent too.

Then I see the BB steelbook, ugh!

Starting to have second thoughts after reading this thread (since GDT didn't actually direct, and this seems to be suited towards children).

Well, this will be a movie i purchase on 4K digital streaming instead of buying on UHD Disc due to the release in November. I usually have a Halloween night showing of a scary movie, and this year it's this.

Probably going to purchase on VUDU, trying to find any reviews of the quality of the 4K. I know it will be inferior to the disc, but still wanted to know how the stream holds up.

Watched this last night on 4K UHD Blu. Picture looked good, nothing wrong with it that I saw but nothing that really stood out as special either. Audio, despite the absence of an immersive mix, was good with solid atmosphere and low end. Movie was average overall. Some okay jump scares and mood but replay value would be pretty low for me.
