I really like the way the women are portrayed in the MI movies, especially 3-6. They are not portrayed as helpless. Just women acting capable and awesome.

I sure hope they keep going. It’s amazing Tom Cruise is almost the same age today that Jon Voight was in the first one (56 vs 58).

Unless Fallout tanks I should think Ethan will be back for another round. And seeing as Cruise has done pretty much everything stunt-wise he can do on this planet, the only logical place to go next is outer space. Expect Tom to start his astronut training any day now!

There are so many WTF moments, but peak nonsense for me has to be when Thandie Newton is walking (in slow motion of course) up to Dougray Scott and her scarf blows off in the wind (still slow motion) and he..........catches the scarf, ooooo, and looks at her intensely - oh so very intensely - smouldering even. Then she gives him 'sexy look', then more intense (slow motion) staring from Dougray as her places it around her neck again. And so it continues....

Everyone in the editing room apparently decided that sequence was a bullseye. I can only assume they were all drunk and high.

That scene had the Woo-woo...

I still laugh out loud every time I see the bikes go from street tires to dirt bike tires when they hit the beach.

2 was just a trainwreck. I’m so glad they kept going. 5 better be awesome. At least we know it won’t mirror a (MUCH worse) Bond movie coming out 4 months later.

I lol'd quite hard at that moment. It's not just that he's catching a scarf caught in the wind - which requires no skill whatsoever to accomplish; has zero bearing on the plot of the movie; is an item that has no relevance or significance to the story (is not a MacGuffin); and is played in slow motion as if he's catching a bullet with his teeth. But also... the MUSIC. The music goes SUPER EPIC when he catches the scarf. I got seriously pumped up!!
Then yes, it continues to focus on her. And him. And him looking at her. And then her. And then him again. Music being all epic and shit.
I LOVED IT.

I think that up to about 1 hour 30 minutes, I was alright with the movie. By 1 hour 33minutes, it turns into pure schlock and shamelessly refuses to even look back for a single microsecond.

this like the Fast and the Furious movies are one of the rare long running movie series to get better as they go along...the MI: Fallout trailer looks fantastic...Henry Cavill looks like the breakout star...
