There was no chance that a "no-name" actress would have been in this movie, because in few of their interviews, Emily Blunt stated that they had a known actress that they had intended to play the wife. However, after Emily read the script, she said that she was definitely going to take the role instead. Few of the interviewers had asked who they initially had in mind, but Emily said that she would never tell other than that it was a close associate. Many speculate that it might have been Anne Hathaway, which I'm sure she would have been an excellent casting choice as well.

Regardless of actress credibility, I think this movie's premise alone would have spread the same buzz. The trailers alone definitely garnered my interest and definitely wanted to see it, it's just that the film also happened to star Emily Blunt and John Krasinki, which was a bonus.
