or an absolute flop. I have no idea, but with Joaquin Phoenix I have hope it will be the former...just curious to see this with Todd Phillips at the helm...

I'm excited for this one. Even with the superhero burnout that I'm suffering, there's something telling me to go see this. JP is a great actor, and I can see him bringing real emotion to the Joker. I'm expecting a screen version of the Joker unlike any we have seen before.

Judging by the new trailer, this movie could be bonkers if it has an R rating. My butt will be in a theatre for this either way.

Of course, I'll reserve judgement until I see it myself, but Phoenix is such a powerhouse of an actor at the very least he will be amazing to watch in this. Despite Phillips' history with comedy (many which I enjoy very much) I'm really curious to see how he handles this and I'm pleased the early reactions are very positive. I don't think I have seen any Phoenix films I have not enjoyed thus far....

I feel Phillips is just the right person for the movie, while his movies are comedy they all have very dark elements at times. I’ve read it’s a slow burn of a movie so more closer to Logan than Deadpool as far as R rated. I doubt this will have as many comedic moments either.
