considered the success of the film and being Warner they might be releasing the more definitive editions down the line...

This is "get it out before Christmas edition to capitalize on the hype" edition of the home release.

A more definitive one will be coming down line. You can just tell from these special features alone.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (as I hope I am), but hasn't Todd Phillips said in the past he doesn't like extras like commentaries etc? This is pretty much what I was expecting in terms of extras.

I don’t think this is the kind of movie to get a lot of extras.

I have a feeling we’ll get a press release in the coming weeks before Christmas, they would be stupid to not capitalize on it.

Yep. He’s also said he doesn’t like deleted scenes for they were deleted for a reason. Which explains why there aren’t any such features about them on this release.

Boo, not even 30 minutes of extras. I can understand Phillips not wanting to have commentary and/or deleted scenes, but at least a feature length making of would've be appreciated.

There is just very little time to watch them. I at least would rather dedicate time to watching more movies than digging into special features.

If the special features are truly in-depth then I'll give them the time they deserve, like the lengthy 'making of' on Exodus: Gods and Kings which is yet more gold from Charlie de Lauzirika. But most modern stuff is publicity-piece pap so yeah, I'd rather devote more time to either watching the movies themselves or talking bollocks about them on the internet.

I'm more likely to watch special features if they're on the 4K disc, but since most of them aren't, I mostly skip them altogether.

I don't know that it will be coming out that early. This movie is doing rather well still and could end up in theaters longer than expected. Especially seeing how the new releases are not measuring up well at the box office.
