I agree with all that and think that philosophy should extend to the outer cover art as well. Use the original poster or key art, not some hideous new ‘fan art’ abomination.

Discs were loose. Full of fingerprints and scratches. No quality control with Scream Factory. Clowns.

Then you’re not looking at your discs. It’s common with US versions. I’ve had better luck with UK imports. Another thing that bugs me is disc with a notch/nick/cut on the outer edge. I’ve had that lead to cracking or the coating peeling off the disc. I’m finding that way more common now.

They do have a copy as seen in their Facebook post when they received the 4K review copies in the mail.

Saw on Twitter than DiabolikDVD will be out until 10/5. If I’d known that was the case, I might have ordered elsewhere so the set would arrive on/near release day. I assume others that ordered 1-5 will be in a similar boat.

(I'm not commenting on Halloween either way here as I'm not gonna dignify the HDD review with a click. Will wait for competent cappers to get hold of it.)

What I'm saying is, ripping that audio and then uploading audio comparison videos isn't as simple as just posting caps. He went into a ton of detail about the mono track. More than probably any other reviewer is going to bother doing. If you have some inside information that they have the capability to rip the LD audio easily (with a working LD player, no less) and aren't doing so just to irritate the fans, feel free send them an angry email. :P

The exact words that I did not want to hear or read. That is the only reason that I am not buying these sets from BB. Not so easy to exchange, or replace...when the discs arrive f*cked up.

I'm not asking them to upload a comparison video of audio tracks. All they have to do is play a quick scene on the 4K release then throw on the Laserdisc copy for a quick comparison. Of course if they don't have a functional LD player then that's fine, we can wait for someone else to do a comparison. It seems like that is the case regardless for some proper 4K screen caps and audio. They sure do have a nice collection of the original film.
