I’m watching the 4k iTunes version and it’s one of the worst 4K transfers of a current movie I have seen.
I notice some nice hdr but most of the time it seems like a 10 year old 1080p transfer. I’m interested to hear what those with the 4K Blu-ray think. It’s dark, grainy and almost zero detail which is odd since there are lots of daytime scenes. Another Damon movie, Elysium looks amazing by comparison. |

Watched this last night and enjoyed it even more than in the theater. However, the colors are muted so much as to be annoying. It wasn't like this in the theater. It's hard to believe someone actually approved this transfer. It's about the worst UHD disc I have in terms of picture quality. Everything is also way too orange. Just started streaming the iTunes 1080p version and it does not have these same problems.

Like I said before, it was like watching a sub par 1080p stream of an old movie. Non of the pop of a new transfer created from new tech. I compared to a viewing of Daddy's Home 2 4k which gives you everything you expect from a new transfer. It reminds me of Bourne Legacy where the 1080p stream looks markedly better. I think some of the professionals are having trouble with 4k transfers and HDR. I would love to see the credits of people who actually do it. |

Surprised to see a BD-100 being used. Australia has used the same disc and authoring as the US, even uses the same disc livery (US R-rating).
Great thing about UHD... No Region Coding. ![]() |
