The cinema release has these formats:
Sound Mix Dolby Digital | Auro 11.1 | Dolby Atmos | SDDS | Sonics-DDP | DTS (DTS: X)
And the UHD ends up with:
English / Dolby Atmos/TrueHD Audio / 7.1-Atmos / 48 kHz / 3666 kbps / 16-bit

Well, it may for you be "the best option" but if hear the details and depth of a
24 bit high bit-rate track you say different.
16 bit is a shame for a release like this.

16-bit on Dolby Atmos should be a scan error, I think.

I certainly hope so but don't think so pretty low bitrate, 3666 for atmos and 13 other tracks that takes space. Might be warner cheaping out...

Also a added DTS-HD MA when there is a dolby true hd core...strange indeed and waste of space.

Also the BD have same specs: Dolby Atmos/TrueHD Audio English 3666 kbps 7.1-Atmos / 48 kHz / 3666 kbps / 16-bit

I have seen in the past two US Lionsgate John Wick scans. One 16-bit the other was 24-bit. I am not really that worried.

Try "Passengers" to compare and you can hear it clearly what a better track can bring.
Dolby Atmos/TrueHD Audio 48 kHz / 4684 kbps / 24-bit
DTS-HD Master Audio 48 kHz / 2119 kbps / 16-bit

I was speaking on the BD-scan error, not actually listing. 16-bit vs 24-bit.

sry for misunderstanding
don't think the scan is wrong on this, you see many releases that are not bringing the best in audio and video to UHD.

Was about to preorder until I saw the price. If it’s $42 now, it’ll probably go to $34 at the lowest. I’ll wait for a price drop.

For those interested, Vudu has their disc + digital deal for $29.99 for the UHD physical disc (shipped from parent company Walmart on release week) and you get the UHD digital copy today.

Yes it is, what is being read there is the the (470 MB 5.1 AC3 Core) Atmos track's are in a 24bit container but the actual bit depth of each channel varies.

Can someone PLEASE tell Warner to stop wasting a tremendous amount of space on those redundant DTS-MA 5.1 tracks???

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I can't imagine myself not liking this movie. It will probably be worth buying for the action scenes and PQ alone.

I'm going to wait for the French 4k/3D combo release. Will be painful wait as I'm sure this will be stunning, and I can't wait to see it again.

I usually purchase from Best Buy, and $30 is no better. I’ll wait a few weeks, like I did for Tomb Raider.
