Wal mart is really odd with their 4k's. The ones by me always stock them on a friday.

They had tons of Solo blu rays, but no 4k. Lady said they get in them in the 28th. Happened with me and Infinity War as well.

That's a nice bitrate for the "mono" track, 384 kb/s for 1.0 isn't lossless by any means but that should be plenty. Damned shame it's not the actual original mono then, Geoff.

I have a 2017 LG OLED too (B7) and I don't need any of these adjustments. It looks great in Dolby Vision, and it looks great in HDR10 on my Samsung KS9800 as well.

Not sure why you're experiencing issues. It's either your player, or you simply don't like the color grading on the UHD.

There are scenes that are more muted than others, but it fits the mood and atmosphere of the film just fine, though other scenes are more colorful.

On another note, this is a very dark film, so those with TVs that have low peak brightness and no Dolby Vision support may have trouble with some of the darker scenes.

Received mine from Amazon yesterday and scanned through to test it out last night. Started up great. Picture is amazing, and I'm more than happy with the sound and everything else.

The other thing I don't like is the idiot Ha40ween/Forty Years of Terror sticker that's prominently affixed to the slip. I just don't like stickers.

At least it's not a Rotten Tomatoes certification of freshness sticker. Then I'd really be miffed.

EDITED to add: Oh, and I wouldn't suggest cleaning a disc with a paper towel (or hot water; gasoline; bleach; Ajax; SOS pads; or any of the other options mentioned). In the rare event that I need to wipe a disc, I always use a microfiber cloth with a light touch. Yeah, that means I wouldn't suggest using a radial sander either.

Picked this up today and can't wait to watch it. I took the sticker off the slip and put it on the cover art. Looks really nice on there .

I think people are used the garish look of the older formats color. The only scene that stood out as muted to my eyes was when Tommy is walking while Myers follows. The scene right before with the schoolyard hooligans looked great with very deep colours on jackets and skin tones. The blue hue in nighttime scenes look so much richer and prominent on the UHD.

Thanks. I get nervous/anal about stickers most often because they either:
1) Don't come off all the way, so I try to stick it back on, but it just sits there looking all wrinkled and ugly, and it never fully adheres correctly again.
2) It comes off, but my feathers fall out when I discover that I've left fingernail scratches on the slip trying to work the sticker loose.
3) It comes off, but tears off a tiny spot on the slip that leaves it looking terrible.

Picked it up at Target, had to ask them to get one out of the back. Asked why they aren't on display yet and the reply was something about no shelf space allocated for it yet...but they have space for 5 different versions of Solo and a big fat shipper up by the check-out
