Yeah, thought it might a release date change, but since I see other people getting their's shipped, it looks like I'll just head up to Target over here, since they're closest.

Both Apocalypse Now and Godzilla KOTM were delayed a couple days for me from Amazon this week too, so hopefully they're not about to drop the ball on every other thing I have ordered.

It depends. I’ve had some take 3 weeks but preorders I usually get end of week or the next.

Both cuts have a lot of differences. I imagine it would be a lot of extra work trying to seamlessly mix the two cuts. It's not lazy work like Terminator Salvation (Warner), I Am legend and Law Abiding Citizen. Those separate encodes and discs at times were just lazy.

I agree, it should look good. I'm really interested in seeing if the added scenes of the Director's Cut are were color corrected. I was hoping the review would have covered that important part.

Hopefully they'll have evened out the two sets of footage. I wouldn't say the DC stuff looked 'off' on the BD, it just looked different to the theatrical footage around it. Reminded me a little of the Con Air extended version on DVD from years back, the main theatrical cut footage used the existing transfer which had EE up the wazoo but the new scenes looked much fresher because they'd been newly transferred.

Good Point, they could also have evened it out. It didn't look bad, the difference just made it stand out.

This movie had an incredibly cheap look and feel to it.

Digital bullet squibs and digital flames/explosions and what not.

...nothing about it felt organic.

Are people on here never happy with anything?? This movie was so kick ass from beginning to end, and the whiners are out and at it again, Day 1 purchase, day 1 watch, and day one be blown away with the new Atmos sound, hell the old disc had some of the best sound ever!!!!! This one is right up there with the first one!!!!
