Unrealistic he does not take her to a hospital after he finds her with so much drugs in her system. Its just logical to do this. Its what a normal person would do. Just so stupid and i think this is one of the many reasons for the bad reviews too.

Perhaps that was the plan. He was running for their survival, trying to get out of Mexico would be top priority.

And yeah, there is a reason. They were for different markets. There are lots of films with different cuts in different markets, but you aren't crying for every one of them, I bet.

If it hasn't been posted yet, here is the info from Roadshow regarding the Australian 4K release:

Quote:
The 4K disc that's in the 4K packaging is the American 89 minute version, however, it also comes with the standard blu-ray, which is the 100-minute Extended International Version.
So you get both, just not the extended on 4K.

I'm happy enough with that. Hopefully they do it properly and don't squash the extended cut onto a BD-25.

Hmm, the thing about that that worries me is does this mean the Euro releases will do the same. I'm hoping not, given they won't be out until next year.

I'll wait I guess.

Thanks for that. It was what I expected as Roadshow always source U.S discs for 4K Lionsgate product. Out of curiosity because I live in Australia I’m curious how you came by this information?

Unlikely, those ones will have their own masters. For UHD titles, Roadshow literally just imports copies of US or UK discs without the covers, and bundles them with their own BD releases.

I did the disc to digital from Vudu. The special feature is only 18 minutes long. Nowhere near as expansive as the features on Rambo (2008).

Besides the opening scene, the uncut version also includes a meeting between two brothers and Big Boss played by Joaquin Cosio (the evil general from Quantum Of Solace). It takes place immediately after the spiked drink in the glass is shown. Cosio is completely absent fom the US cut. The villain's death scene is the same in both cuts.

Any word yet on possible censorship regarding violence? I just would like to know if there are any releases out there which have any violence trimmed?

90 minutes long, doesn't have a shedload of alternate language tracks (nor would it, it's a Lionsgate disc), extras can fit just fine in the remaining space on the UHD66.

That other feature didn’t pull up when i first bought the movie, but is is there now. Only the 18 minute feature was there. Both are now.

This is literally my no.1 pet-peeve with digitally shot movies. Takes me right out of the movie when those shots appear.

Am I the alone in saying $25 for this is a big waste of money? My guess is they will be pumping this out at $7.99 by the fall of 2020.

The shorter cut is leaner, more to the point, and you get less of the bad actors.
Dang. I was hoping for more action in the end. There are shots in the trailer that don't show up in the final film. The one that jumps out at me is him shooting down on them with the m16.
