I've not seen a disc at 60 fps yet, what will happen for those who's screen (eg Projector) can't handle 4K @ 60fps?

Is the Framerate also on the regular blu ray? I might rent this from redbox and in my area they don't offer UHDs.

Not willing to Blind Buy this.

No, it is not supported by the format. You might be confused by the following line in JerryTsao's post;
"* MPEG-H HEVC Video 2683 kbps (3.21%) 1080p / 59.940 fps"

That is *not* information about the Blu-Ray, but the Dolby Vision layer of the UHD. The Dolby vision layer is a difference-matrix/metadata-layer which sandwichs on top of the HDR10 when played back on equipment that supports it. This layer is in 1080p as per DV specs. To quote Geoff D from an old avsforum-thread ;

"(...) This "difference data" is then compressed using Dolby's special sauce into a 1920x1080 DV enhancement stream (don't think of it as carrying a readable video signal, the resolution isn't important as it's just carrying data packets), which is encoded onto disc alongside the 3840x2160 HDR10 base layer.(...)"

Kinda figured the Information was about the UHD in the UHD thread. Thanks for the Clear up. Just wanted to know if the Regular Blu ray had it. Guess it doesn't.

I’d say this 60fps gimmick for films needs to die, but it’s already barely breathing. It’s always been a bad experience and will continue to be.

Interesting that the enhancement layer is FEL despite Dobly advising otherwise for high frame rate content, but it's so small it might as well be MEL.

I think it could work in animated movies, but not live action, especially with awful cinematography like in Gemini Man. If you want to know how random, cheap sopa opera would look like in HDR, watch this movie.

They've gotten better at it since Billy Lynn. I checked out the 4k stream of it to see how the 24fps conversion was and it still looked video-y. Too much motion blur. Gemini Man is a flawless conversion to 24 from 120.

Is there a 4K 24 FPS version? The HFR makes it unwatchable.

For added shits and giggles, when I get this UHD (in a sale) I'm gonna watch it with the motion interpolation maxed out on the TV too

What's the difference between Dolby Vision MEL and FEL?
Do you know of some examples of movies released in both flavours of Dolby Vision?

Will Motion Interpolation work with 60 fps video? On my Samsung TV and wiyh the Billy Lynn movie I tried Motion Interpolation and made no effect.
