1) The vast majority of people have year's/decades of film watching under there belt. So very few haven't actually seen a film. 2) Not scrutinising the AV quality of a release would mean distributors have no accountability in delivering accurate/faithful digital recreations of film's for home viewing. And what would be the point of Blu-ray media existing in the first place if you didn't want high quality HD or UHD video? 3) Why did I just have to explain the blindingly obvious above? You are on an enthusiast forum. Last edited by Scottishguy; 08-17-2020 at 01:19 AM. |

Except that Flash Gordon is not being released by Arrow in the UK. It's released by Studio Canal. However, the US release of Flash Gordon is Arrow's first UHD release worldwide.

Regardless, I never had any intent or interest in debating all of this minutiae, my point was simply that, as Arrow is new to 4K, of course, people are going to be greatly interested in its image quality. The fact that Pitch Black is a beloved cult classic heightens the interest even more. ![]() Last edited by AreaFive; 08-19-2020 at 12:19 PM. |

I hope that is a misread on the BDInfo's part, otherwise there is going to be frame drop issues like with the remastered Total Recall blu-ray.

What, the 24fps rather than 23.98? It'll only cause frame drops if people have a piece of shit player or TV that can't handle it. Hasn't been an issue for years, to wit: if people have the Lionsgate UHD Blu-rays of, say, Lock Up or Universal Soldier or the Rambo trilogy or any of StudioCanal's Euro-only UHDs then they've been merrily watching 24fps without incident. Nothing to see here, move along.

I haven't watched TR from the BR disc since I purchased my 203 but my old Panasonic BR player did cause the frame drop.
