the movie itself doesn't sound all that great but I'm hearing the 4K/DV visuals are reference quality...one reviewer compared it to Blade Runner 2049 in terms of best in the format...that's the eternal dilemma I've always had even with 1080p Blu-ray- do I want to buy a crappy movie just because it has reference quality video/audio

this month sounds amazing in terms of excellent 4K discs- Crimes of Grindelwald, Mortal Engines, Spider-Verse and Aquaman

Yeah, gotta love the studios getting behind the 4K format. Mortal Engines recorded in 8K with a 4K DI and Crimes of Grindelwald recorded in 6.5K with a 4K DI. That makes for some awesome video. Too bad Mortal Engine as a movie wasn’t very good.

If you think it's a crappy movie, why would you want to buy it at all?

I was meh about the film - I didn't pay to watch it in a cinema, as I had a free birthday ticket to use - but I'm buying it on UHD-BD anyway.

that's the dilemma...I'm a videophile and I like to have demo discs on hand to show off the best the format has to offer

* I haven't seen Mortal Engines, I'm just going by what most people seem to say about the movie

I don't recall anything amiss in the theatrical audio experience, but I honestly wasn't listening carefully to pick up any sort of issues with the audio and was just watching the movie.

My order from Best Buy (placed on Monday) is supposed to come by tomorrow, but my order still shows in progress, and the item is now only available for in-store pick up. Was this a limited release somewhat?

Best Buy certainly doesn't seem to be carrying many copies of this or Green Book 4K. I went to my local store after work last night and grabbed the last copy of each movie off the shelf. Looks like Mortal Engines is still sold out for shipping on BestBuy.com. Hopefully this doesn't become the new norm.

watched this last night PQ/AQ was amazing, I found the movie entertaining, not nearly as bad as some have claimed.
