So is there a 101 minute version that isn't censored? This is really annoying imo

It's not uncensored, it just has an additional 12-minute opening sequence (an entirely non-violent one at that). The rest of it is identical in both cuts.

Looks like most European countries will be getting the 101 Minute 4K. I will be importing.

Why don't you buy the Australian release? That's what I "did" (have it pre-ordered). I don't trust Universum releases in regard to English subs and so on. That's especially since I've been told that there's Spanish dialogue with English subs.

The Aussie release should contain the long version as well and should be English friendly.

EDIT: Or do we expect the Aussie release to be a port of the (UK) Lionsgate release?
EDIT2: Yes, we do. Hmm... Just cancelled.

I'm just going with the U.S. release. The extra footage doesn't sound like it adds much.

Dunno what is up with that runtime. May be the extras as well.

Digitales is showing 89 minutes

There's a torrent of a blu ray rip online and the actual extended footage clocks in at around 3 minutes.

It's 10 minutes, not 3.

Hence the 10 minute difference in run times.

Just watched the 4th film, has an option for both cuts. No reason why the 5th could have this option unless a actual director's cut/extended is coming? Still, it's really f-ing bs

Yeah, but the extended cut of that one didn't come out for a year after the theatrical BD. So that's probably what they're doing here, holding off on the extended cut for a double dip

It doesn't have 7 minutes of extra credits compared to the regular release, which also has credits. I've seen both and it's certainly longer than 3 minutes, thanks.

Maybe don't torrent and steal movies, there's a thought. Or watch the cut version so you know exactly what was cut and what wasn't.

Not the BD, but the stream just came available. Got the disc plus digital.

Quick glance Of the digital in DV was fantastic. Excellent dynamic range and sharpness. huge improvement over Rambo 4.

The blu-ray that is available and contains the longer cut is the mexican edition by Zima. I cannot however confirm if the atmos is included. My suspicion is that it it a “plain” 5.1. As for the additional footage, I can confirm that in the beggining there are at least 7-8 minutes of new footage that include the rescue of the climbers and some scenes in the kitchen with the mexican lady. There might be some additional footage as the movie progresses.
To be honest, I really enjoyed that extra beginning, and shows that Rambo has been doing more that just sitting on his ranch and building the tunnels. It goes very well with the beginning of Rambo 3 where he’s helping the monks in the monastery and shows that he still has that calling of helping the less fortunate. Have no idea why this scene did not make the american or uk cut.
