Mission Impossible (1996) 4K UHD is listed on Barnes & Noble as a UHD release with release date June 26. UPC 0032429306241. Nothing much on the actual product page yet, but that is normal the first few hours after Barnes & Noble lists new releases. It is listed among the 4K UHD releases with a retail price of $27.35.

With Paramount remixing Forrest Gump, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, and all the Transformers films in Atmos I'd be surprised if they didn't with the M:I series. Their soundtracks are hard hitting as the action scenes.

Also the first two were finished on film and are old transfers so I also don't see why Paramount wouldn't make new true 4K transfers. M:I:III was a 2K DI but should look great in HDR (complete with the trademark Abrams lens flare).

They have some pre-orders up on Amazon.ca for the MI movies but they don't indicate UHD or 4K. I would bet that they are though considering they're $27.99 each.

If most titles get Atmos or DTS:X then this title doesn't, that's worthy of 'whining' about. It's a major selling point of UHD Blu-ray.

I might get them all if it either comes in a nice set or even individual steelbooks. If it's just standard packaging, I might pick up just a few of them. I already own three of these. I have two copies of Ghost Protocol as it is.

If all of them are mind-blowing eye candy, then I'd have to BUY THEM ALL!
