It is. Funny thing is the shot after (when she smirks), seems like a different take though.

Snyder usually is up to standard in terms of action, but in some scenes he was off his game here.

The version in the theatrical cut is much shorter and doesn't produce the same effect. So, it's essentially a different moment, so to speak.

How do you folks rate the extras?

It looks to be just mainly about history of each character in comics and movies* with little to do regarding the actual main of the film.

* And even those look too brief to do justice to the characters.

I only skimmed some of them, but they're pretty surfacial/EPK-type stuff. Similar to what we got on BvS (didn't watch the SS bonus features). MoS bonus features were awesome though, and in terms of quantity there was a lot, especially if you got the Target and Walmart-exclusive discs.

JL extras are pure fluff unfortunately. Mind you this seems to be the case on a lot of big movies these days. I miss the in depth documentaries we used to get.

I doubt Snyder or Whedon were in the mood to really do any extras.

Pretty much official word on what I've been saying for months; Zack had a rough cut that wasn't finished and he wasn't happy with and the new scenes shot by Whedon were scenes he was planning on shooting anyway.

WB wasn't happy with the rough cut, not Zack.

No the scenes Whedon shot were not what Snyder was planning to shoot. He had no hand in anything past January/February of 2017.

Read the linked article. Snyder oversaw the scenes Whedon shot.

Why? I’m not calling you out for the post. At all. I’m more like, aren’t these two,two of the biggest film/superhero fans out there when it comes to actually being involved within the industry. To hear they’re disinterested in giving towards fans of both their films and the subject of their films more information that they’d probably have creamed themselves for if it was them sat at home involved in these type of films.

Just a shame and surprised

Until I hear this from Snyder himself, I don't trust what anyone else says about the matter.

Heh. I still think that if the stars align one day then we'll get another cut of JL, but I never put any credence into the fanboy bullshit that insisted it was being worked upon now. Sure, Snyder's been putting out what people think are teases on social media but it's more him explaining how x moment would've worked in his cut of the film, not some sort of tacit admission that it's actually happening.

Because making the movie wasn't a pleasant experience for either of them and they both wanna move on. Apparently so does WB, and it's completely understandable. Justice League wasn't the triumphant Avengers-sized jewel of their proverbial crown, it kinda sank the entire DCEU to the point that their only real winner is Wonder Woman. And now they have to rely on, of all things, Aquaman and Shazam to return some semblance of luster to the whole thing. Not a DC hater, I like/love four out of five of the movies so far (but hate the other one). It just is what it is.

Snyder's spokeswoman says he won't discuss a director's cut and people who have worked on the film have confirmed there was only a rough cut and Snyder oversaw the new scenes. I'm not sure why what they say shouldn't be considered or trusted. Seems to me Snyder has no interest in releasing another cut of the film.

In my opinion, we'll only get another cut of Justice League once it doesn't matter anymore. Similar to the Editor's Cut of Spider-Man 3. Once the DC universe has been rebooted/a continuity reset removing Justice League from the canon, then we'll see another cut. The DCEU is in a crisis at the moment and fans, audiences and most importantly investors need stability for the franchise right now. Two competing cuts of a film would only cause confusion.

Take the WSJ article with a grain of salt. No, in fact take it as it is, nothing more than a hit-piece against a movement within the DC fanbase based entirely disinformation.

I find it incredibly curious why the WSJ writer would cite an unnamed source "who worked on the film" about the Snyder Cut, in which all they offered was the same PR-spin that was used after Whedon took on the project. Yet, he does not included the interview he took with Jay Oliva, who for a fact did work extensively on the film and knows a Snyder Cut exists.

No one within the fanbase believes, or believed, that WB would release the Snyder Cut so soon, whether it's complete or not. Sure, there was hope, but that was it. This isn't going to stop them from asking for it.
