All that is needed is a dramatically satisfying ending. If that includes Dany on the throne, so be it. I want it to be well done regardless of what happens.

And if that ending as a possibility really bothers you, drop the show. Because it’s been a potential outcome since the books began.

Hope they have added subtitles, at least English. Neither the US nor UK release lists any. Perhaps when they are out people can update the info based on what is actually on the discs. Amazon lists the following subtitles (German, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Polish), so what happened to English.

At this point I'm just excited to see any end to this show, but I think Dany has been the least interesting major character from the beginning. I'm rooting for anyone/everyone else.

If it ends any other way than Dany on the throne with Jon by her side then we have been thrown a massive curveball that no one could predict. All the signs are there. Maybe I'm one of the only ones that doesn't expect the ending to be completely unpredictable. Can't wait to see all the important deaths in second half of S7.

On an aside...What do you call those bs endings in shows, films, or video games where they invent some endgame antagonist final boss that no one has ever seen or heard of before? and insert him right before the ending. I forget what that device is called. I'm sure there are a couple names. It's used quite often and its infuriating, especially when you've been watching a mystery. (not referring to GoT in any fashion here)

I can't shake this feeling that all the remaining contenders for the throne will end up getting killed in one final battle where they defeat the white walkers once and for all. And then someone completely unexpected will end up sitting at the throne.

Bait-and-switch comes to mind. And yeah, they suck. Only thing I hate more at the end of the story is some weird supernatural explanation or (especially in videogames) the old "a cult was behind it all" cop out.

They already said a couple of years ago that if people think this will end in an happy ending, they will be disappointed (or something to that effect).

yep, and that's what has stuck with me. (But seriously screw GRRM in the way he has handled everything, specifically release of the books, since he has become super famous.) We know there will be several tragic deaths, and some things to subvert our expectations, but there also aren't many players left in the game either. I like this response:

That's a very real possibility. The main themes of the series being: death and rebirth, the changing of the seasons, the endless cycle of power. Maybe everyone will die fighting the whitewalkers and the kingdom will be reborn anew.
