Or they still had a lot of pressed 2007 discs and the 2013 still sells reasonably well.

Not to mention, doesn’t the ‘07 disc have extras not found on the ‘13 release?

Yeah, it has a different commentary and a feature length documentary.

Yeah, the 2007 disc has that great documentary “Halloween: A Cut Above the Rest.” It’s listed as a featurette but it’s actually a feature-length documentary. The 35th Anniversary disc has a documentary with JLC at a convention to raise money for charity.

Picked this up earlier today but I can’t get it to play on my Xbox One X. Keep getting error code 0x91d70000.

Yeah. That’s the real reason they included it, they did the same thing with the 15 disc boxed set.

I am starting to think trolls are entering this thread. To say this disk looks like garbage is a far stretch.

Better picture quality for sure. It's tough for me to pass on this even though the mono isnt included. I've bought this movie on ever format that I've had. The colors just look better with the 4k.

Same! I got the last copy and I had to ASK them to look. When he did he was like "Oh, it's in the back. I'll go get it." Also, the best price I've seen so far. $14.99

So not trollin I swear!

I own a B7 65 inch OLED with the LG entry 4K player (UP870) with only HDR.

I popped in this disk tonight just to check it out. To my eyes, I'm seeing issues. Mainly in the beginning washed out grays. Something is not right. The edge right side of the screen almost looks like an LCD light bleed.

I went ahead and switched discs to the 1080p Bluray that comes with it. Obviously not as hi rez, but the black levels did not give me the issues like the 4K did.

Trying to figure this out. Was really looking forward to watching but as of now, unwatchable during night scenes. (*didn't even get to the day time scenes yet)

My original copy wouldn't play. Glad to say the replacement copy works fine.

Definitely the best Halloween has looked to me. I noticed a lot of little details and the sound was excellent as well.

It's not going to make it into my top looking UHDs but it's still a solid effort and a worthy upgrade.

Is there one for the standard HDR? I’ve heard it’s much darker and than the 35th anniversary blu.

Sorry but this is one of my favorite movies of all time, Ive bought it so many times, and this is, by far, the worst it ever looked. I'll never slip this UHD disc into my player again. Total waste of money!! Will rewatch the original blu. (I have a 65" Sony OLED TV)

People often say that about distributors "having these discs lying around" or whatever, but doesn't them having new 2018 art kinda preclude that? I would've thought that discs were replicated and stamped with art in subsequent stages at the same facility, rather than having to feed a load of decade old-discs that they don't even know still play correctly with blank art (why would they even have no art?) into whatever machine to stamp the new art on them. You can't just stamp new over old either, the disc would be too thick, and taking the old art off is impossible without destroying the disc.

Yes, I'm saying that they've deliberately replicated fresh new copies of the 2007

The black levels are crushed to shit on the old 2007 disc. More pleasing to your eyes for sure, but for better or worse that kind of "thin" black level on the 4K is very similar to how it is on the 35th Anniversary Blu-ray, which you'd see if it was included in this set. But it isn't. See above.
