Damn, I didn't intend to buy Braveheart day 1, but now I'm itching to do so... It's just too pretty.
I don't know about the source, but the Sapphire disc was never reported to come off a 4K master, like Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan were. They used the words "New HD Master" at the time

Anyway, it seems like they used a completely new workflow for this UHD disc and it shows

Zoolert shows about 3 per store around where I live. Don’t know how accurate that is

Just FYI Dolby Vision is never carried in an actual 12-bit stream. On disc it uses a 10-bit HDR10 3840x2160 base layer and a 10-bit DV 1920x1080 enhancement layer containing the difference data and dynamic metadata, these two layers are combined to produce the 12-bit 3840x2160 Dolby Vision output.

Don’t know but that tracker also shows 0 for me. I’ll go in my lunch and check anyway.

I’m sorry. It’s early!

I meant Die Hard showed stock at WM on zoolert.

Yeah I think Braveheart will have to be bought in store at B.B.

I’m not seeing it at Target or WM online.

No Braveheart or Gladiator at my local Target. Picked up Black Panther and Die Hard. Now I got an hour to wait for BB to open to get those first 2 mentioned.

My target pre-order still has not shipped. It shows as back ordered. The product page, however, shows the item is in stock.

Arrgh! I just went 0 - 3 at the walmart close to my work (took a quick break and zipped over for a peek) on the titles I wanted today (Braveheart, Gladiator, Black Panther)...they had none of those 4k's in stock. Ah well, maybe later in the day somewhere close to home will have them, and at this point, I don't really care who (Target, WM, BB).

It’s strange to me that Wal-Mart would carry Saving Private Ryan but not this.

Thanks. I'll hit them first on the way home...I'm almost positive they'll have at least 2 out of the 3 I want lol. I have a RZ coupon to burn anyway...fingers crossed. Weird thing was - that work locale WM had a ton of the BP BD but zero UHD, heh. FWIW, they did have a bunch of Die Hard 4k's but I'm not really interested in that one at this time.

My local BB had one copy each and I nabbed them both. I wish they were $20 each but considering they seem to be limited in stock for some reason, I had to grab them.

I ordered this morning for in-store pickup at the BB in Waxahachie.

My BB had about 4 or 5 Braveheart's and Gladiators. Looked like only 2 copies of Die Hard. They had probably around 15-20 copies of the BP steelbook. Got everything I wanted today plus some.

Just checked this out on OLED E7 , been a while since I watched on Blu but so far the upgrade seems a little disappointing to my eyes anyways.... Maybe because the Blu over the DVD was unbelievably massive.

Will either watch this or gladiator tonight when it gets dark and get a better feel.

You can't judge a 4K in daylight. HDR is meant to be seen in the dark. Not surprised you don't see a difference.
