It's pretty much the same with these pics at caps a holic and other screenshots which are mostly viewed on SDR monitors (besides resolution and details).

Sadly not all of us got the correct equipment to scientifically prove the accuracy of.HDR screen grabs.

I wish I can be like some of you guys or like the legendary screen grabber Xylon @ A V S.

Same here. I like the steelbook but also like the standard 4K. My Best Buy bill is so high right now, might go with the regular 4K.

The difference is that those guys have a modicum of competence even in the SDR realm, capsaholic less so than Andreas' excellent caps (though neither claimed that their images represent Dolby Vision), but your man does not. It's as simple as that.

And I was gonna reply with "ah, Xylon" as well but Mike got there first

Agree with you. He is not my man lol and in no way he or she is influencing my 4K UHD purchase. There are no caps or any sort of information available to respond to the person who was asking how the DV was and this was the only one I could find

I have the steelbook in my checkout on my Best Buy app. Still debating on which version to get. Both look nice. I can use my $5 off and still will the same price as the regular 4K and have fee shipping.

Deep Discount has it $25.50+tax + FS with a 15% off code. CM15 appears active though it's one use per account
Bohemian Rhapsody 4K 24.99 makes a nice bundle

Bullmoose 29.97 -- no tax and FS so effectively a little cheaper than most stores.

Of course in 4-6 wks or so it'll may well be less than $20, but I guess that's not really the question

Got my disc on Friday, and watched it Sunday. Personally, I think it's reference quality. Great use of HDR all around, and plenty of bright lights, even on my projector. Atmos mix really shines in the live performances, putting the viewer right on the stage or in the crowd, depending on the shot.

Seems like most people really liked this movie but I didn't really connect at all. I just watched this today completely blind. I didn't watch any trailers or anything for it. I found it quite boring and too long.

I didn't think the songs or story were that great, either. I figured I'd like this over Bohemian Rhapsody but it went the other way. I also think a movie like La La Land is significantly superior. I don't think I'll ever watch A Star is Born again, but I'll watch these other movies again.

Technical aspects of the 4K disc are solid, looked and sounded good. Heads up, the 4K disc defaults to DTS-HD, you have to select Atmos.

I kinda had the same reaction you did when I first saw it (but a little more positive). But the movie stuck in my head, and when I saw it a second time, I flat-out loved it.

Just watched it for the first time and while I liked it, I couldn’t help but think how superior La La Land was. My main problem was some of the editing choices and abrupt cuts that made it seem like the characters were teleporting. Still a good movie though.
