Yeah, the 35th Anniversary stand-alone doesn’t have it but the 10-disc and 15-disc sets have it. The 2007 stand-alone also has it but it’s not lossless and the color grading on that release is arguably wrong (very warm colors for daytime scenes and I believe all the blue for the nighttime scenes was removed).

![]() ![]() Positive that it's original mono. Yes. Geoff D can confirm it as well (if he would be so kind), and/or if you want a second opinion. ![]() It's noted here on the site listing too, though it was I that added the comment. Note: English DTS-HD MA 2.0 is the original mono, the DTS-HD MA Mono is an isolated music & effects track. Last edited by lilboyblu; 03-06-2019 at 04:34 PM. |

When you listen to the DTS-HD MA Mono does it play the opening title music without the kids’ chanting at the end? I’ve always wanted to hear that track with just the music but also without the added techno drum beat on the soundtrack.

Halloween: 40th Anniversary Edition - Original Soundtrack https://mondotees.com/products/hallo...-soundtrack-lp ![]() That should yield the opening title music without the kids’ chanting at the end or the added techno drum beat! ![]() ![]() Last edited by questrider; 03-07-2019 at 12:15 AM. |

Yeah, I’ve heard that one, but I really like the stereo mix minus the drums on the soundtrack or the the 5.1/7.1 mix in the film. I wish they’d just re-release the original soundtrack but take out the thumping drum beat. I have no idea why they added that in. They turned the Halloween theme into a dance tune. Some questions for the hardcore fanbase? Anyone know...
So after the infamous John Carpenter blowing smoke scene (24:25 ish) with Annie by the hedge bush and Annie going home scene. That one. Where Michael pops out by the hedge bush for a couple seconds right. Right when Laurie looks back to double check for the boogeyman, and turns around and bumps into Annies Dad the Sheriff Bracket. His audio is noticably just barely out of sync, and it seems like its just for that bit. Just annoys me the way his lips move and I always want to stare at my Polk center channel speaker like wtf LOL it's on both DTS soundtracks the Mono and 7.1/5.1. But then after his dialogue it goes back to in sync. When The Sheriff and Sam Loomis are investigating his childhood house where Michael got hungry and ate the dog his audio is fine. Must be a one time redub or sum oddity. Like the Palm trees and set guy on the porch LOL. Just wonder what people think. Another question... How did they get the RKO Production Howard Hawks 50's the Thing (44:30) on that TV screen when Laurie is babysitting the blonde boy? Did they have a VCR or some other technique? Project it somehow. Just curious how that was done back then. |

They could have used a Betamax tape machine or early laserdisc player attached to the TV. VHS wasn't a thing yet. |
