It's the third film in the Wolverine trilogy so it's a superhero film.

Someone posted elsewhere on this site some of the cuts from Snyder's work and each one would have benefited the movie if left in. Hopefully we might get to see his cut in the future. The UC of BvS showed that to be a fine film compared to the shoddy theatrical mess and it wouldn't surprise me for something similar to be just as evident. Have to wait and see. In the meantime, there was a sizeable uptick on Saturdays box office over Friday. And there's still the Thanksgiving holiday. Let's see how that pans out, as well as how big any drop-off is.

Yes, except for the fact that the character's motives have never really been that of a superhero. Not in the same vein as Superman or Captain America at least. He is more a comic book figure.

I've never really considered the any of the X-Men as superheroes, even though they have done heroic acts.

The UC BvS was kind of a mess also. Snyder does have a good cinematic eye. Just not for this material IMO.

Well most others (myself included) disagree with you there. I put the UC somewhere in my top 5 super-hero films. It had the balls to take chances. Unlike most comic book movies, it aimed high. How well it achieved that varies, depending on the viewer and openness to a re-interpretation of a simple character to a more complex, interesting one.

In the meantime, the JL international box office is ahead of both Wonder Woman and Ragnarok. To be continued...

LOGAN was an R rated film, narrowing potential box-office by its nature. Fox knew that going-in, budgeted the movie accordingly, and are very satisfied with the results.

Pretty sure thats been attributed to the fact that Justice league was released in most territories at once. Ragnarok had a more staggered release internationally(China was a week later). The fairer comparison will be in 2-3 weeks.

Preorders are up, and this is doing so bad, WB are going to release it on blu-ray next month.

But don't worry, we'll probably get Snyder's Extended No-Mustache Edition sometime next year.

Actual numbers are in: $94 Million for the weekend. Looking likely the film won't reach $700 million, never mind outgrossing Batman v Superman's $873 million.

WB will probably rush this onto BD and UHD.

There's no way Snyder's original cut will see the light of day. We'll see a longer version of the theatrical cut presented as Snyder's cut with a few new scenes here and there.

Such a shame. What I would give to see Snyder's original version with Junkie XL's soundtrack.

After reading that the CGI may not have been completed on the stuff Whedon re-shot, I'm wondering if WB will go ahead and have that stuff finished and completed for the UHD release.

I'd think the final multiple of total domestic gross to opening weekend will be lucky to exceed 2:1. So the movie won't even make $200 million domestic.

I just finished watching Batman Vs Superman, I have now seen both versions, I enjoyed both versions of the film so, I don't understand what people do not like about this film.

Every movie I seem to enjoy people seem to talk down on them. All the movies I watched I have had zero expatiation's of them, if people could learn to watch movies without any expatiation's maybe then they will enjoy them more.

I also tend to not look for flaws in films, I take them at face value and I never look for anything in the film that I could use in a discussion to shoot the film down, as people online tend to do.

I have all the marvel films, I watch all the marvel tv shows, I have all the DC films, and I love all of these super hero movies.

The drop off for next weekend may give the film a serious boost though, seeing as it's Thanksgiving. Look at Fantastic Beasts last year for example. It opened the same weekend as JL at 70-something million and ended up with over 200 domestic.
